Feng Guang wasn’t as sad or depressed as others might have feared. She was deep in thought, replaying how she met An Yi and recalling what he had said. She clutched the hem of her shirt tightly.

What she wanted to ask was whether he was a ghost, but she was too terrified even to utter the word.

The system didn’t answer her question directly and instead said calmly, “It was the host’s request to switch the target of the mission.”

“…You tricked me.” Her tone was icy.

Now she was certain. An Yi wasn’t human—he was a ghost. A ghost with amnesia, no less. She couldn’t understand why this ghost was so fixated on her, but despite her instinctive fear, she still managed to make a sarcastic comment in her mind.

She could see ghosts. That was her “golden finger” (special ability).

Things suddenly made sense. Why so many people couldn’t see An Yi, why Luo Chenxi was so terrified of him—it was because they knew he was a ghost.

But even after realizing the truth, Feng Guang couldn’t help but complain, “System, you never told me this entertainment-world mission involved ghosts!”

“If the system told the host everything, wouldn’t that just be cheating?”

“Only if the host has enough points to redeem,” the system replied, pausing briefly before continuing. “If the host had known this world had ghosts, there’s no way you would have accepted the mission so easily.”
