Ming Ming lifted her eyelids and shot him a look, a mix of scolding and resentment, as if asking, “What nonsense are you talking about?”

Guan Yi, still stunned, almost froze in place and instinctively leaned back a little, tilting his head to observe her. Ming Ming, embarrassed and annoyed by his reaction, gave a small kick, and Guan Yi barely managed to keep his balance.

He hesitated, then asked cautiously, “Baby… are you… you know?”

“Shut up!” Ming Ming snapped sharply, though her tone carried more mischief than anger. She pushed gently against his chest and wiggled, signaling him to move faster.

Even when she scolded him, it sounded oddly charming. If I keep this up, can I hear her teasing me like this every day? Guan Yi thought, a fire kindling in his chest.

He lifted her leg gently, planting a soft kiss on her ankle, then, impulsively, nipped lightly, leaving a faint mark.

“Ouch…”

“Are you crazy?” she said, playful frustration in her voice, reaching with her other leg. Guan Yi caught her ankle and pressed gentle, teasing kisses along her leg.

It was stunning.

“Mmm—Guan Yi!” Ming Ming protested, her voice carrying a teasing, restless energy. She reached out toward him instinctively, making him feel completely consumed.

“Alright, baby,” he murmured, low and rough, as though he could no longer hold back.

Ming Ming half-closed her eyes, gazing dreamily at the ceiling. Her senses spun in a pleasant haze, the room seeming to bubble and shimmer.

Guan Yi kissed her cheek, the tip of her nose, and the corner of her lips. Ming Ming tilted her head and caught his lower lip gently between her own, then pulled back with a sly smile.

“Having fun?” he asked, voice deep.

She didn’t answer, just stared at him, a teasing gleam in her half-lidded eyes, then slowly licked the corner of her lips, savoring the moment.

Guan Yi thought: She’s irresistible. Does anyone else see her like this? Will she ever be like this with anyone else?

No. Only me. She was mine—always had been, always would be.

“Baby, I may be a scoundrel, but you brought this on yourself. You provoked me… so I won’t let you go,” he said, eyes dark and unwavering. “Remember this: from now on, there’s no one else. You are mine.”

Then he pressed forward.

“Y-You… bastard… slow down!” Ming Ming’s voice was broken, her words jumbled.

“Come on, baby… say my name,” he coaxed.

“G-Guan Yi…” she whispered, her voice trembling, repeating it over and over, “Guan Yi… Guan Yi…”

Hearing her, Guan Yi felt a deep satisfaction. He tried to memorize her expression, wiping the sweat from her forehead, letting his fingers brush her face, occasionally pressing a kiss.

Ming Ming’s gaze, soft and playful, drove him wild. He couldn’t afford to die here—he needed to protect her, keep her safe.

“Guan Yi… Guan Yi…” she called again, oblivious to the world.

He shivered at the thought of someone else hearing her like this, imagining the pain if she were led astray by another man.

No. She’s mine. Only mine.

“Guan Yi…” she murmured again.

Guan Yi, ever vigilant, noticed items beginning to fall around them—Ming Ming’s space spilling its contents.

“What’s going on…?” he muttered, eyes scanning.

He realized her personal space had been accidentally filled with things. Careful not to let them scatter too wildly, he gently held her and guided her into a more secure position, his tentacles quietly intercepting falling objects.

Ming Ming rested her chin on his shoulder, purring softly and shifting on the bed. Guan Yi calmly patted her back, soothing her, while keeping an eye on the room.

“Baby, are you trying to drive me crazy?” he teased as she nuzzled him, playful and persistent.

“Maybe,” she whispered, still half in a dreamy haze, enjoying the sensation of being close.

As more objects tumbled from her space, he let out a resigned sigh. “Alright, alright… we’ll deal with this later.”

He balanced attention between Ming Ming and the falling items, a strange mix of chaos and tenderness.

Finally, Ming Ming relaxed, rolling happily on the bed, humming a little tune. Guan Yi reclined beside her, arm behind his head, staring at the ceiling, needing a moment of quiet.

Next time, I’ll make sure she’s fully aware and not in this state…

He glanced at her, still dozing and humming, and said softly, “Let’s just be like this. I don’t care what you think about your… ex. Just don’t show it around me. From now on… let’s live well, together.”

“I’ll try to die after you…” He muttered to himself, almost like a whisper.

In truth, Guan Yi was talking to himself. He knew he’d taken advantage of the situation last night. Tomorrow, when she woke up, who knew how she’d feel? Would she even want to talk to him? Want to be with him? Would she resent him?

Ming Ming felt like she was floating in pink bubbles, utterly thrilled. Hearing him speak, she rolled over into his arms. Guan Yi wrapped her gently.

“Mwah.”

She pressed a quick kiss to his lips, eyes sparkling, then shyly giggled and buried her face in his shoulder.

Guan Yi lightly pinched her cheek and asked, “Who am I?”

Her muffled, playful reply came without hesitation: “Guan Yi!”

He pulled her closer and let out a long, slow sigh. Just like this…

He coaxed her to sleep and quietly got up to tidy the messy room. If anyone needed three extra arms to get things done, it was him—his tentacles let him work on several tasks at once.

First, he gathered the scattered sanitary pads. The plastic wrappers were noisy, so he moved carefully, grateful that Ming Ming was sleeping deeply.

“How the hell are there so many of these?” he muttered, leaning on his hips. Is the base running out? Or did An Ning put Bai He in charge of stocking pads?
