Suva’s gaze had turned ice-cold, but the moment he sensed another familiar presence, he turned—and saw Fengguang standing there in a daze. His frozen stare softened instantly. As he walked toward her, it was as if spring had returned to the earth; his eyes held nothing but tenderness.

“Fengguang, you’re here.” He naturally took her hand, completely ignoring Lord Qingya, who stood off to the side.

Qingya shrugged. If the man wanted to ignore him, then so be it—he wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

Fengguang, still lost in thought, was jolted back to herself by Suva’s voice. She blinked blankly and asked in a dazed tone, “Suva… was this how I used to propose to you?”
