But while logging in was allowed, using the phone was another thing.
After work, Luo Xi was preparing to tidy up the office when she saw a cleaner walk in. After glancing at her, he began cleaning.
Since the office was spotless, everyone’s desks were neatly organized. Luo Xi wandered around and realized there was nothing for her to do. Just as she was about to ask the cleaner if she could help, she saw him set a vacuuming robot on the floor before sitting down to play on his phone.
She scratched her head, unsure of what to do.
After finishing, the cleaner smiled at her and then left.
Leng Minxing called to check on her. Looking at the spotless office, Luo Xi finally picked up her bag and quietly left.
“How are you adapting?”
Leng Minxing asked when she got in the car.
Luo Xi nodded and then shook her head. “It feels a bit strange, but I can’t quite describe it. By the way, did you change the work hours?”
She looked at him suspiciously.
Leng Minxing coughed. “The work in the finance department isn’t too much, so it’s fine to reduce the time a bit.”
“I knew it.” Luo Xi sniffed. “But it really wasn’t necessary. Today was just an accident, and it was my fault for not being more attentive.”
Leng Minxing freed one hand to ruffle her hair and smiled. “It’s no issue. Your colleagues may even be excited because of it.”
Luo Xi recalled the cheers when they received the notification and nodded.
Suddenly, a message from Hua Feifei popped up: “Xixi, how’s your first day? Are you tired? Yaoyao and I have it so bad, we’re running around all day. My legs are about to give out!”
She complained.
“I’m fine. Aren’t you two supposed to be designers? Why are you running around?” Luo Xi asked in confusion.
“Hmph, it’s because of those old guys in the company. They take advantage of us being new employees and treat me and Yaoyao like assistants. By the end of the day, we haven’t even touched a computer, just running errands. By the way, what do you do at your husband’s company, a secretary?” Hua Feifei asked curiously.
“No, I work in the finance department. As for the tasks, I still haven’t figured it out,” Luo Xi replied helplessly.
“Haha! You don’t understand? Being assigned to the finance department means they want you to have control over the finances! Wow, your husband is so good to you!” Hua Feifei said enviously.
Luo Xi’s heart skipped a beat as she glanced at Leng Minxing, finding it hard to believe.
“No way, after all, I can’t understand those data either.”
“You’ll understand sooner or later, trust me,” Hua Feifei said with a mischievous laugh.
After hearing this, Luo Xi couldn’t help but smile sweetly.
Noticing her smile while chatting, Leng Minxing frowned. “Who are you chatting with that has you so happy?”
“Secret.” Luo Xi chuckled twice, sounding a bit silly.
Taking advantage of the green light, Leng Minxing lightly flicked her forehead. “What are you up to behind my back?”
“Ah, nothing much.” Luo Xi rubbed her forehead, scolded him playfully, and then went back to tapping on her phone.
“…”
“Our company’s new shopping mall in the city center is about to open, and I heard they’re going to host a big lottery event. Everyone can participate. I wonder what good stuff the company has prepared this year.”
