Good Dad System [Arc 1] Chapter 3.1: Father, He Is A Great Man (5)
The memory Instillation took longer than expected, and after Pei Naochun finished sorting out the chaotic thoughts in his mind, the room also darkened.
He turned on the light above the bedside table, reached into the bedside table and groped according to the position in his memory, and found a worn black leather-covered notebook. Pei Naochun was a very particular person, and every amount of money he made since he started working and expenses are calculated carefully and recorded neatly in the book.
The black notebook looks very old, and the paper has turned yellow. Although the owner loves to use it, the surface is still mottled. The entire notebook is in a worn-out state. It cannot be closed tightly and there are still folders inside. There are many large and small papers.
Pei Naochun became more and more silent. In the memory of the original owner, he always ignored donations quickly and didn’t take it to heart, but when he wrote them down in a notebook and became a record, it became astonishing—
“On June 10, 1990, Zhang Ze’s tuition and book fees were 150 yuan.
On June 20, 1990, I went to Shanmao Village to visit classmate Li Si who had taken a break from school, and spent 210 yuan on tuition and living expenses. “
This is a record that he started not long after he graduated and started working in the school and getting paid.
The latest record was recorded this morning: “Donation from school organization, 350 yuan.”
He was silent, thinking of the soul projection that 009 had just cast on him – that is, the original owner himself. The other person was very thin and skinny, with no flesh at all on his cheeks, sunken eye sockets, and the clothes he wore were too big, which made him look too skinny with empty leg tubes.
There was no sad expression on the original owner’s face, he looked quite peaceful, not like he had been tortured by a long illness, he just looked at him and muttered to himself: “In my life, I am worthy of the sky, the earth, worthy of my own heart, and my heart. Teacher, I’m just sorry for Xiuzhen and Chuqing.”
“Having a husband like me and a father like me should be considered very unlucky, right?” After his death, he followed his daughter in the form of his soul for a long time, and he also met his wife once.
He saw his daughter like a shopaholic, going to the mall to buy exquisite and expensive bags one after another. In his spiritual state, he wanted to persuade his daughter to save some money and do charity, but no one could hear him. Even so, he followed his daughter back home and entered her dressing room. It looked more exaggerated than the one on TV, and it was full of clothes.
He saw Chu Qing casually throwing the bag she bought in the corner, walked to the depths, and opened the cabinet with a glass cover. The location looked very carefully arranged by the owner –
But there, he saw an old light blue schoolbag that was out of place.
He remembered that schoolbag.
It was the second schoolbag owned by his daughter. He and his wife took their daughter to the mall to choose it. Maybe it can’t be called a mall. It was a clearance cart that was available at the entrance of the mall every day. It was an old style that was sold at 50% off. His daughter wanted it. He looked at the pink clamshell bag with a Kitty cat on the counter. After looking at the price, he took his daughter outside and chose this bag, which he thought was simple and elegant, but her daughter thought it was too plain.
After the bag broke several times, Xiuzhen helped to sew and mend it. Once, when her daughter fell, she cut a big hole in the bag. She came back with the bag sobbing, and wanted to change to a new school bag. He did not agree and pressed Xiuzhen to sew it. With a big smile on his face, he happily told his daughter that it would be a waste of money.
On the day Xiuzhen and Chuqing left, his daughter was also carrying this bag. She clutched the handle of her schoolbag tightly, looked back at him, and left without sadness or joy.
Then, he heard Chuqing facing the bag and scolded loudly: “Have you seen it, I don’t need the broken schoolbag you bought for me now, I can buy ten, one hundred, one thousand! A bag is more than your monthly salary, you know? If you are in front of me, do you want to ask me to donate money again? Do you want to ask me to be a good person again? I tell you, I won’t do it I’d rather buy tons of bags and pile it at home, I don’t want to be a good person like you!”
As if she was tired of scolding, she collapsed on the floor, tears falling down: “How can you not regret it? You should regret it! Are you stupid? If you support me, I will be in a good mood and I will donate more, If I give it out, it will be more than the money you donated! I hate you so much, I hate you so much!”
He floated beside her, speechless.
He was a person who loved to persuade others to donate money, and he also practiced it himself. But at that moment, he couldn’t say a word.
This was the daughter he once cherished and looked forward to being born. Why did it become like this? He really regretted it, but if he had to do it again, he wouldn’t change it.
Pei Naochun looked at the man with a peaceful face, and his face suddenly became distorted, showing remorse and embarrassment.
“I hope you can help me and treat my daughter and wife well.” He pursed his lips, “I don’t know how to be nice to others.”
“…I also hope you can guide Chu Qing well, stay with her, and tell her that being a good person is not a bad thing. Don’t stop loving the world and refusing to help others just because you have a bad father like me.”
Pei Naochun looked at the soul that disappeared without a trace, nodded deeply, and responded: “Okay.”
If you like my work, please do consider buying me a cup of kofi ☕
Oh please, when they introduced the heroine it was said she knew right from wrong then she grew up and got rich and her boyfriend and others tried to persuade her but she stuck with her principles but then blames the father for them? Not logical and the father is not a scumbag please her hate is misplaced
Since when was not donating money and buying stuff she doesnt need wrong? She earned the money herself and has the right to use it however she wants. Its not like she forced others to agree with her.
I would also be very resentful in such a case. Imagine not being able to posess the most ordinary things (she was entitled to) all because of donations. Hating donations is normal.
Besides, her father may have been a good man but to her and her mother he was simply a leache that sucked their blood and refused to leave any for the basic needs of his own daughter.
Leech*
Wow, you sound so tall and mighty…And so full of yourself and wrong. Did we even read the same thing?
You call a Father that not only refused his own family a good life but robbed then of it not a scumbag Father? Even now, the supposed “good” father says he regrets it but would still do the same thing. Right.
And as for the daughter? Given her childhood, a huge part of the problem is the Father and the people that took advantage of them.
You’re just full of BS, no logic, just illogical like the Father here.
Tbh the plot line would have been better with the og father
