In short, the process of them finally coming together was anything but easy.
It was true that she had boldly taken the initiative at first—but the moment she actually followed through, she regretted it. Crying out that it hurt, she collapsed against his chest. Once her spoiled temper flared up, she stubbornly refused to move another inch.
Ming An let out a helpless laugh. Without saying a word, he shifted their positions. Some things… were better handled by him—especially when it came to doing the heavy lifting.
At the beginning, she was in tears, complaining that it hurt. By the end, she was lying lazily on the bed, perfectly content to let him take care of everything.
An entire night without restraint left her sore all over the next day. Although her cold had miraculously disappeared, she felt as if she had been run over by heavy machinery. Her legs and lower back ached so badly she suspected they were beyond repair.
The man beside her, on the other hand, looked refreshed and in excellent spirits. He even bit his own arm and offered it to her lips with a faint smile. “I know you must be hungry.”
After such an exhausting night, who wouldn’t be?
She didn’t stand on ceremony and took his arm, feeding until she gradually felt full. As she did, memories of her tearful, unreasonable behavior came back to her—especially the bold things she had said. Questions like “Why won’t you be with me?”—how could she have blurted that out so casually?
Her face turned red. While feeding, she sneaked a glance at him. He still wasn’t dressed, and there were scattered bite marks and scratch marks on his body—obviously her doing.
She suddenly choked and pulled away from his arm, coughing hard.
Ming An gently patted her back. “Are you okay?”
“No!” She sat up abruptly. The blanket slipped, and only then did she realize she wasn’t dressed either.
He raised an eyebrow and gave a teasing whistle.
Her face burned even hotter when she noticed the marks he had left on her. She hurriedly yanked the blanket around herself, wrapping up tightly. Then she looked at him again, thinking that at least he would feel embarrassed sitting there uncovered—but his shameless composure was beyond imagination.
Ming An sat openly in front of her, completely at ease. In the end, she was the one who grew shy.
Chuckling, he pulled her—blanket and all—into his arms and asked softly, “Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?”
They hadn’t finished until three or four in the morning. He had originally intended to carry her to the bathroom afterward, but even during that process… things had nearly started up again. Only now did it dawn on him that, since it had been her first time, he might have been a bit too impulsive.
“I’m just a little sore…” Realizing he was genuinely worried about her, she suddenly felt a warm sense of happiness.
“Next time, I’ll control myself better,” Ming An said.
Nestled in his arms, she nodded obediently. “Mm.”
Of course, when a man says he’ll “control himself better” after crossing that line… it’s hardly believable.
Because of certain special reasons, Feng Guang didn’t attend classes for the next week. And since Ming An was hardly the most responsible principal, skipping work was nothing new for him. The phrase “nights filled with music and revelry” was no longer enough to describe their days. Another phrase might fit just as well: indulgence from morning to night.
Feng Guang couldn’t help but sigh. She must have truly lost her mind when she had that cold. Once she opened that door for Ming An, it seemed there was no closing it again.
