TSFLIP Chapter 794

Shufeng held Fengguang’s hand as they walked out of Wutong Alley and back onto the bustling main street.

It was Shufeng’s first time leaving Linglong Manor, and the people who saw the white-haired man for the first time were immediately struck by his beauty—only to shrink back a few steps later, whispering among themselves in fear.

Even though Fengguang’s hearing wasn’t great, she could still make out the words “monster,” “white-haired ghost,” “man-eating demon.”
There was no shortage of ugly descriptions, and a slow burn of anger began to rise in her chest.

Seeing that she was about to lose her temper, Shufeng smiled softly.
“Don’t let it bother you. I don’t care what others think.”

“But what they’re saying is awful! It’s just… just plain ignorant!” she said, struggling to find a word harsh enough without cursing.

“It’s normal,” he replied calmly. “My appearance tends to invite judgment.”

“But you look completely normal to me. There’s nothing about you that deserves to be criticized.”
Her serious expression made it clear that she meant every word.

Shufeng’s voice softened. “There’s only one Fengguang in this world.”

That’s why she thought differently, acted differently—because there would never be another Xia Fengguang quite like her.

Fengguang knew she couldn’t change everyone’s minds on her own. She understood that much—but it didn’t stop the sting of frustration.
“It’s just… these people really go too far sometimes…” she muttered.

“What if…” He smiled faintly. “What if all of these people died—would that make you happy, Fengguang?”

All… died?

She blinked, picturing rivers of blood in her mind, and immediately shook her head.
“No, I wouldn’t be happy. They’re just ignorant, not evil. What they need is education, not extermination.”

“Is that so?” he murmured, his expression thoughtful.

She quickly added, “That’s what my father taught me! I don’t really understand it completely yet, but it just sounds right, you know?”

“It is right.”
His face was calm, peaceful, and when he smiled, there was a serenity about him that made it seem as if everything in the world was perfect in his eyes.

Fengguang lifted her hand slightly, wanting to touch that flawless face—but then she remembered his words back in Linglong Manor, and quietly lowered her hand again.
A wave of disappointment washed over her.

What was she thinking?
He’d already said he liked someone else.
Sure, the woman he loved was gone, but with her small frame and childish looks, he probably only saw her as a younger sister—or worse, a junior.
If she already knew that, then why couldn’t she stop her heart from fluttering every time he smiled at her?

Just as she dropped her hand, he reached out and caught it in midair.
When she looked up, she caught a flicker in his eyes—something elusive and unreadable, yet strangely captivating.

His voice was low, almost mesmerizing.
“Fengguang… we’ve arrived. This is the Xia residence.”

His words carried a soft sigh that somehow made her heart ache.

Fengguang looked up at the familiar gates of her home and, for the first time, thought it didn’t seem so far away after all.
Swallowing the tangle of emotions in her chest, she drew her hand back and bowed her head.
“Thank you for walking me home. I’ll go in now. Goodbye.”

She didn’t look back. Instead, she turned and ran straight through the gates.

Time passed. Night fell, and a light rain began to fall.

A man in a blue robe approached, holding an umbrella.
“Master, it’s getting late. You should head back.”

“I’ll stay a bit longer.”

Through the misty drizzle, he stood tall and still—like a figure painted in ink and water.
It felt as if, with one more drop of rain, the image might blur and fade, and he would vanish without a trace.
