“Success! The current score is seventy-eight.”
In the white world, the book titled White Fox’s Absolute Love in Feng Guang’s Hands turned into a puff of smoke and vanished. Her gaze was a bit wistful; to be honest, she quite liked the character Qi Mu. However, what she regretted most was the five points spent to swap for a more prestigious identity than Concubine Min, just to deal with her.
Feng Guang knew this was a minor sacrifice needed to achieve a happy ending, but she couldn’t help but feel heartbroken!
Clenching her fists, she resolved to work harder and quickly gather a hundred points, “Draw script.”
Books with no titles appeared around her. All of them looked the same, with no apparent differences. Feng Guang closed her eyes and randomly picked one. When she opened her eyes, she saw the words My Shura School Idol on the cover.
“…” Feng Guang was silent for a while. Once the plot was fully imprinted in her mind, the corners of her mouth twitched, “This is truly a school romance.”
Her frustration stemmed solely from the fact that after enduring the rigors of high school and college graduation, she was now forced to relive high school life. It felt like being thrown back to square one. How infuriating was that?
Even though it was frustrating, she had no choice but to accept it. With a resigned sigh, she entered the book’s world. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a luxurious pink room, back in the modern world after two trips to ancient times.
The nanny knocked on the door. “Miss, it’s time for dinner.”
“Okay, I’m coming,” Feng Guang replied, glancing at her reflection in the full-length mirror. With her delicate face, slightly curled long hair, and a red sleeveless dress, she looked like the most beautiful princess. She quickly adapted to the persona she was meant to have.
Descending the stairs, she took a seat at the dining table and asked the middle-aged man holding a newspaper, “Dad, is Mom not coming home for dinner again?”
“She has business meetings; she won’t be coming home today,” Xia Zhao replied, setting down the newspaper in a formulaic manner.
As expected, in any world, either her “mother” was absent or the relationship between her “mother” and “father” was strained. She never had a “home” she could truly call perfect.
Feng Guang wasn’t concerned about this; she casually asked, “Dad, have you decided where we’re moving yet?”
Xia Zhao looked troubled. “There are two good houses in A City—one in the city center and one in the suburbs. I haven’t decided yet.”
Xia Zhao was a lawyer who owned a law firm and was highly regarded in the industry, while his wife, Wang Ci, was the CEO of a publicly listed company. Since her career was moving to A City, Xia Zhao had to accompany her.
“The city center is convenient, but the suburbs offer a better environment,” Feng Guang pondered, then suddenly had an idea. She smiled and said, “I heard the best high school in A City is Clover High, and it’s located in the most beautifully green suburb. It’s not too far from the city. Dad, why don’t we choose the suburban house? You always wanted to garden, right? There will be plenty of space for you, and I’ll have a convenient school.”
“What’s this about convenient school? I see you’re just trying to be classmates with that Mu family’s boy,” Xia Zhao shook his head and laughed. Feng Guang had a betrothal with the Mu family’s young master, Mu Tianze, who indeed had a face that drove girls crazy.
Feng Guang smiled but didn’t explain. “So, Dad, what do you think?”
“I have no strong opinions. We’ll decide when your mother gets back.” Xia Zhao was touched by the idea of having space to garden, as Feng Guang suggested.
At the very least, even if her ‘family’ is not perfect in each world..they are rich and she was pampered and always pretty, so far. 😅 this should be the 4th arc ,right?
