When they stepped out of Zhao Yi’s apartment, it was already nighttime. Feng Guang was clutching tightly onto Yun Ji’s hand as they walked through the dim, empty hallway. She didn’t dare look back. The elevator had suddenly broken down, leaving them no choice but to take the stairs—but she didn’t believe for a second that it was just a simple malfunction.

Yun Ji’s hand hurt from how tightly she was holding on, but he still smiled and said quietly, “If you’re this scared, what would you do if I weren’t here?”

“I thought we were going to see Tang Xiaole,” Feng Guang muttered, pressing even closer to him. “Who knew it would be such a terrifying ghost… Tell me, is she still following us?”

Back in Zhao Yi’s apartment, Feng Guang had accidentally made eye contact with that female ghost. From that moment on, the ghost had stared at her relentlessly. Even after they left the room, she could still feel that intense gaze on her.

The ghost’s voice dropped, slow and eerie. “Women who are prettier than me… shouldn’t exist.”

Feng Guang was stunned by the words. Then she couldn’t help but speak from behind Yun Ji, “So you’re the one behind the recent attacks on women in A City?”
