“Fengguang, I hope you can accept this bouquet from me.” Zhou Lie smiled as he stood in the shade of a tree.
Fengguang was momentarily stunned; she suddenly thought of someone. Her hand instinctively reached out, but it was caught in the cool grip of another person’s large hand. She followed that hand and saw Ou Xun, who had appeared beside her, looking momentarily dazed.
Ou Xun tightened his grip on her hand, pulling her behind him. He stood tall facing Zhou Lie, his posture straightening. A gentle breeze tousled his bangs, and the depth of his dark eyes sent chills down the spine of anyone meeting him for the first time. He usually carried an air of indifference, but now he was serious.
Zhou Lie sensed that this would be a difficult person to deal with. Nonetheless, his demeanor remained refined and gentle. “May I ask who you are?”
It was so close; Fengguang was almost ready to accept Zhou Lie, but the appearance of this person shattered his success.
Ou Xun had no intention of answering Zhou Lie’s question. He turned to lead Fengguang away, but Zhou Lie quickly stepped in front to block them.
What was happening now? Were two men competing for one woman?
Don’t ask Fengguang; she was equally unclear. Zhou Lie gave her a fleeting sense of seeing An Tong. She almost made a subconscious mistake, but thankfully, Ou Xun’s presence pulled her back to reality. What was wrong with her? After completing her mission, the system would erase her feelings for the target, yet here she was, suddenly recalling her previous target.
Zhou Lie was a well-known talent from the Chinese department, handsome, with a good family background, and gentle. Junior and senior students alike vied to call him their idol. Thus, when he suddenly stopped Fengguang to confess, a crowd quickly gathered. No girl could refuse Zhou Lie’s confession; everyone thought so. However, they hadn’t expected a man to come out of nowhere.
Zhou Lie managed to keep smiling in this situation. “Classmate, I think it’s polite for you to answer my question since I’m asking so courteously.”
Fengguang looked at Ou Xun, unsure of what he intended to do. But if she had to choose between Ou Xun and Zhou Lie, she would stand by Ou Xun. After all, she was more familiar with him. She had even forgotten to pull her hand from Ou Xun’s grip. In fact, given his firm hold, she couldn’t pull it away at all.
“Zhou Lie, Shen family.” Ou Xun’s seemingly unrelated comments changed Zhou Lie’s expression. He continued slowly, “Engagement, scheming…”
“Enough!” Zhou Lie furrowed his brow tightly, feeling alarmed and compelled to reassess this man.
However, Zhou Lie’s sudden increase in volume startled Fengguang. She shivered, caught in confusion. Why did she see An Tong’s shadow in this person? An Tong was always calm and composed; he wouldn’t shout like that.
A hand rested gently on her head, and she looked up to see Ou Xun’s worried expression.
“Don’t be afraid.”
She could feel his hand tense and awkward, which was slightly comical but also made her feel like she was a challenging puzzle to solve.
Yes, she was more difficult to deal with than any program. Ou Xun, whose hands had only ever tapped on a keyboard, had never touched a girl’s head before. He was afraid he wouldn’t know the right pressure; what if he pressed too hard and made her uncomfortable? He worried about this.
Fengguang and Ou Xun exchanged glances, making Zhou Lie feel like an unnecessary outsider. Though he was unwilling, recalling Ou Xun’s words, he gritted his teeth and silently slipped away through the crowd of onlookers.
I still want her to kill him atleast 5 times in game. The grudge is still there.
It’s good to know that at least someone feel the same
I think so too
