If you are unwilling to give up small, insignificant things, you won’t be able to attain greater, more valuable things.  Feng Guang comforted herself, feeling a bit better inside. Why did the female lead get to succeed without paying any price? For her, every breakthrough came with a cost, and Feng Guang felt speechless and choked up.

It was simply because she was a supporting character!

The difficult Li Bi had finally shifted his focus. Since he had taken her things, it was equivalent to him accepting her demands. The weight in Feng Guang’s heart lifted; she no longer had to follow the plot of waiting for An Tong to be released from prison.

As she stepped out of the café, Feng Guang stretched lazily. Just a few steps away, she received a call from An Tong. “Feng Guang, are you coming to my house?”

“It’s school hours now,” she said, retracting the “I’m on my way” that almost slipped out, putting on an act of being a good student.

On the other end, An Tong chuckled softly, “Are you really at school right now?”

“…No.” She touched her ear, feeling a bit embarrassed. She was never a good student; skipping classes was a common occurrence for her. But hearing her crush point it out made her feel shy. She said bashfully, “Wait for me, I’ll come find you.”

The distance wasn’t far; she arrived at An Tong’s villa in about twenty minutes. The door was open, so she didn’t have to ring the bell and walked straight in.

In the living room, An Tong was sitting on the sofa with a thick book resting on his lap. When he saw her, he looked up and smiled, “You’re five minutes later than I expected.”

“I ran into a bit of traffic,” Feng Guang said as she casually tossed her backpack onto the table and ran over to sit beside him. She hugged his arm, smiling sweetly, but quickly realized something was off. “How could you possibly predict when I would arrive?”

“I guessed,” An Tong said, closing the book and setting it aside so he could pull her onto his lap.

Feng Guang was already used to such intimacy with him, so she comfortably settled into his embrace, pouting, “I don’t believe you just guessed.”

An Tong smiled without replying.

Feeling a bit mysterious, she decided not to dwell on that question. “So, why did you call me?”

“I missed you.”

Feng Guang froze for a moment, then looked up at him. Seeing the serious look on his face made her swallow the “stop joking” that was on the tip of her tongue. She asked dazedly, “What’s gotten into you today?”

It was just too unusual; she didn’t excel in many areas, but her intuition was exceptionally strong.

An Tong, maintaining a serious demeanor, replied, “I just missed you. What’s wrong with that?”

Feng Guang held his face, examining it closely from left to right. Yes, this beautiful face was indeed real, showing no signs of disguise. She asked in confusion, “But we just saw each other this morning.”

“Yet this morning, I didn’t hug you.”

Oh no, he said such heart-fluttering words with such sincerity. Feng Guang sighed dramatically and buried her face in his embrace. “An Tong, how can you be so charming?”

“I accept your compliment.” His hand gently patted her back as he leaned down to plant a kiss on her fair neck.

Feng Guang shivered and couldn’t help but laugh, “This is wonderful; you’re mine.”

After saying this, she covered her mouth and sneezed.

“Feeling sleepy?”

“Mm.” She nodded, lacking energy. After spending the night worrying about how to deal with the troublesome Li Bi, she hadn’t slept well. Now that he held her in his arms, the feeling of comfort awakened her drowsiness.

An Tong lifted her. “Let’s go take a nap in my room.”

She had no objections and was even a little excited. She had never been to his room before, and An Tong surely wouldn’t have a messy room like other boys; it would be neat.

Feng Guang was right. She just hadn’t guessed that his room was filled with photographs hanging on the walls. The moment she saw those photos, all sleepiness vanished.
