If you asked anyone in Jianghu which guild was the largest, they’d all tell you it was Shen Wuyan’s Mystic Sound Pavilion. Mystic Sound Pavilion housed nearly all of the top twenty players in the game, and all the guys in the guild were considered heartthrobs by the female players. It was common knowledge that Mystic Sound Pavilion was the number one guild, no further explanation was needed. But if you asked which guild was the most notorious, people would grimace and tell you it was the Black Suit Gang.
Don’t be fooled by the unimpressive name or the small number of members. Every one of those members was a professional assassin. One assassin harassing you every day might not be too bad, but if the entire guild was targeting you, you’d be unable to complete even basic quests. You’d constantly have to watch your back, knowing these stealthy killers could strike at any moment. The assassin class had a talent for invisibility—enough to drive anyone mad.
Rumor had it that the guild master of Black Suit Gang took perverse pleasure in beating opponents until they called him “daddy.” Even though some people criticized him for attacking lower-level players, he didn’t care and continued doing as he pleased. The guild was known as the one you should never mess with, and its leader had no sense of morality. However, the guild’s vice leader remained a mystery. The members knew of their existence but had never seen them, and no one else had ever even heard of them.
Feng Chen Yiqiang approached Feng Guang’s “corpse,” scratching his head sheepishly. “Lady Sunset, we’ve worked together on a few deals before, but I’m sorry—I can’t kill this guy.”
Feng Guang was so frustrated she wanted to log out. Just as she was about to exit the game, she heard Ren Wo Xing’s voice: “If you’re going to log out, do it sooner rather than later. After all, you’re a girl—being scared is only natural.”
His lips curled into a mocking smirk, clearly ridiculing her for being a coward. Feng Guang gritted her teeth. She wasn’t about to log out now, no way!
She quickly typed, “I’m not logging out! Only a pig would admit defeat!”
“Don’t insult pigs like that.”
Feng Guang wanted nothing more than to get up and slap him. “Ren Wo Xing, you petty little man!”
“Oh? And you’re as magnanimous as the Buddha?”
“Are you calling me fat!?”
Ren Wo Xing crossed his arms. “Whoever responds, admits it.”
“You! You’re camping my corpse and insulting me—you’re nothing but a rude scoundrel!”
“I am camping your corpse, but I haven’t insulted you. Besides, I never claimed to be a gentleman.”
For a while, Feng Guang didn’t type anything, clearly too furious to respond.
Feng Chen Yiqiang watched them, one standing and making sarcastic comments while the other lay on the ground, typing furiously. What surprised him most was that he had never seen Ren Wo Xing so… lively. After thinking for a while, Feng Chen Yiqiang finally found the right word.
He elbowed Ren Wo Xing. “Hey, what kind of grudge do you two have? You fed her so many Pulse-Breaking Pills—it must be some serious beef. She’s still a girl, after all.”
Feng Chen Yiqiang had a bad reputation, but he was usually lenient with women. As long as they weren’t completely clueless, he would kill them once and let it go. Others might not know Ren Wo Xing well, but Feng Chen Yiqiang did. Ren Wo Xing, or rather, Ren Wo Duxing, always played solo, never starting conflicts or corpse-camping players.
How big was the grudge?
Ren Wo Xing let out a cold snort. There hadn’t been any grudge between them at first, but she had meddled with someone she shouldn’t have. He had only intended to give her a warning, but she had decided to provoke him further by setting up an ambush. In all his time playing the game, Ren Wo Xing had only been severely injured once. And during that one injury, he was fed countless Pulse-Breaking Pills—what a wonderful experience.
So, was there a grudge?
Ren Wo Xing’s answer was no. He just wanted to teach this arrogant woman a lesson.
