Feng Guang’s fate of becoming a pet seemed to have already been sealed. At least, in her mind, Qi Wei treated her exactly like one—a pet he found especially appetizing.
Even though Feng Guang had already discovered his true identity, Qi Wei seemed to have grown fond of role-playing. He still moved around the hospital pretending to be a doctor, just like those patients who continued pretending to be doctors as well. As for the real doctors…
Qi Wei said they were being kept in the basement. The obedient doctors would receive “healthy treatment,” while the disobedient ones would be subjected to simpler and more brutal methods of “treatment,” just like the patients had once been. But Feng Guang understood very clearly that these doctors weren’t sick. They didn’t need treatment at all.
Qi Wei was like the king of the island. The severely ill patients still played the role of patients within the hospital, while those who could appear normal most of the time had taken over the identities of doctors. But none of that changed the fact that, in this hospital, it was now the patients “treating” other patients.
Qi Wei kept Feng Guang under extremely strict watch. Ever since that day in the doll room, she had realized it clearly. Her identity now wasn’t just that of a pet—it was the identity of a heavily guarded pet.
Her only set of clothes was no longer wearable, and there wasn’t a clothing store anywhere on the island. He also refused to let her wear anyone else’s clothes. So Qi Wei searched through his wardrobe, and in the end, he picked out one of his white dress shirts.
Feng Guang stood obediently on the bed while he dressed her. She had no habit of running around naked, and under the circumstances, she could only quietly put on his clothes.
Qi Wei fastened the last button for her, then moved the long hair resting on her chest behind her back. Finally, he happily wrapped his arms around her. Since he was standing beside the bed, the height difference allowed him to bury his face perfectly against her chest. Greedily, he inhaled her scent. Suddenly, he felt as though her body was already filled with his own scent, just like how wolves marked what belonged to them. The thought pleased him immensely.
Feng Guang didn’t push him away. She only said flatly, “I’m hungry.”
It was already past three in the morning, and the intense physical ordeal she had just been forced to endure had left her feeling miserable.
Qi Wei looked up and gently kissed the corner of her lips. “I’ll go make something to eat.”
Hearing that, she stared blankly for a moment. As she watched him leave, she found herself thinking in disbelief that he actually knew how to cook.
Qi Wei was someone who understood how to enjoy life. The room he had chosen as his quarters had originally belonged to the old director of the hospital, so naturally, it had the most complete facilities. Having a kitchen there wasn’t surprising at all.
Feng Guang glanced at the tightly shut door before climbing off the bed. Her body still ached faintly. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw that she was wearing his clothes—just a simple white dress shirt—yet on her, it looked almost like a dress. After all, she was much shorter than he was.
She tugged slightly at the collar, revealing the red kiss marks on her skin that still hadn’t faded. Her exposed legs were the same; against her pale skin, the crimson marks stood out even more strikingly.
She thought to herself that it had only been a few days. Not even a full week had passed, and yet she had already fallen to this point.
“System… this is an impossible mission.”
The system gave her no reply.
There was no way she could make Qi Wei fall in love with her. Even now, with him keeping her imprisoned at his side, it was only because of his temporary fascination and desire.
A person like him would never understand what feelings truly were.
