HITA Chapter 5

“Sect Master!” Muqing called as she rushed into the room. Upon hearing her call, Shi Shuiyue looked up from her book. 

“What’s wrong? Drink some water and speak slowly.” Mulan handed over a cup of water. Muqing grabbed it and gulped it down in one mouthful. After she drank the water, she finally calmed her breathing and was no longer panting like before. 

“Sect Master, I found that bastard Gu Ge while trailing Wulin League!” Muqing suddenly slammed the table, and Shi Shuiyue tilted her head upon hearing her words. 

“Gu Ge…” It sounded familiar…oh…it was him. Shi Shuiyue pondered for a moment. It seemed like she had something to do today. With this thought in mind, Shi Shuiyue folded a corner of the page of the storybook she was reading, and then put it in the drawer. 

“Gu Ge, it’s that traitor!” Mulan also couldn’t help but get angry, “If he hadn’t sent the news to Wulin League back then, would our Hundred Poison Sect lose so many people? Even Sect Master Luo…” Mulan suddenly stopped talking here. 

“So it’s Gu Ge.” Shi Shuiyue said softly. She hadn’t fought in a long time. 

Luo Xianmo was the previous leader of Hundred Poison Sect, and he was also Shi Shuiyue’s adoptive father. Speaking of this person, Shi Shuiyue had memories of him. 

When she transmigrated over, she was only twelve. At that time, it just happened to be the time to select a new leader. There were more than 200 children around the same age as Shi Shuiyue fighting against each other. How could Shi Shuiyue, who had come from a peaceful era, bear with this? She didn’t even know how she had survived…perhaps it was after she accidentally killed someone.

Luo Xianmo also became her nominal adoptive father. 

He treated her very well—perhaps it was because he was training her to become the next leader, but Shi Shuiyue was grateful to him for letting her feel the warmth between family members. 

However, the good times didn’t last long. When she was fourteen, Wulin League suddenly attacked them. The unsuspecting Hundred Poison Sect quickly bathed in thousands of miles of blood. Shi Shuiyue witnessed Luo Xianmo being stabbed in the heart with a sword. She was unable to think, and had escaped with the help of Luo Xianmo’s trusted subordinates, Fei Di and Mo Li, as well as the remaining sect members. 

That year, Wulin League annihilated the Hundred Poison Sect, and thus received respect and support from the public. 

That year, Luo Xianmo passed away and Shi Shuiyue officially became the new sect leader.

This year, Shi Shuiyue was already seventeen years old. But, in just the past two to three years, the Hundred Poison Sect had returned to its peak and become even better.

All the disciples of the Hundred Poison Sect—new and old—were crystal clear about what had happened that year. 

“Sect Master…”” Muqing reached out and waved her hand in front of Shi Shuiyue. Shi Shuiyue came back to her senses and blinked, “What?”

“Want me to…” Muqing made a gesture of slitting one’s throat. 

“No need.” Shi Shuiyue stood up and faintly said, “I’ll go.”

Muqing and Mulan looked at each other and didn’t say anything. 

“So it was here ah…” Shi Shuiyue raised her head to look at the two large characters—Gu Estate. It was surrounded by a dense forest, which made it very difficult to notice that there was a house here… 

Knock, knock, knock—Shi Shuiyue went up and knocked on the door. Shortly after that a servant wearing plain cotton clothing came and opened the door. 

“You are…” The servant looked at Shi Shuiyue questioningly. Shi Shuiyue raised her eyes slightly, and then reached out her hand to grab his neck. Under his terrified gaze, she exerted a little force. 

Crack—Shi Shuiyue threw him to the side and strode inside. 

“No, don’t come over here!”

“AH!”

Soon after, corpses were everywhere. Shi Shuiyue cut off Gu Ge’s head and held it in her hands. 

BANG! 

A jar fell onto the ground. Shi Shuiyue looked over—a fish had actually slipped out of her net.

“No, don’t!” With widened eyes, the servant turned around and ran like crazy. But there was no way that he could outrun Shi Shuiyue. She easily caught up to him and grabbed his neck. 

“You must be tired from killing so many people. Want me to help?” The person standing by the door smiled at her. 

Shi Shuiyue glanced over—she was very familiar with this person. She decisively ended the life of the last person and replied, “No need.”

Tang Xing looked at her with a doting gaze, which caused her to have goosebumps all over her body. 

“You…” Shi Shuiyue knitted her eyebrows as she looked at him. 

“Shh.” Tang Xing gently placed his index finger on her slightly parted lips. He looked at her affectionately and said, “Don’t talk and let me take a look at you…” To see you still alive. 

Shi Shuiyue stared at him.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Tang Xing put his hands down in amusement. 

“You…” Shi Shuiyue looked at him, “Are you sick?”

The smile on Tang Xing’s face froze.

Shi Shuiyue looked at him strangely, and then walked around him. 

Tang Xing turned to look at her departing figure. He unconsciously touched his own lips with the index finger that just touched her soft lips. 

Oh—he almost forgot that she didn’t know him now.
