“Dad, you don’t need to take her anymore. I’m not afraid. You can take my sister to kindergarten now.”

Shao Yi waved to Shao Yu, then skipped and hopped into the classroom with his schoolbag on his back.

After watching his son sit down in the chair, Shao Yu waved to him again. Only after receiving a response from his son did he carry Shao Tian away.

As soon as Shao Yi reached the required age, he couldn’t wait to start first grade.

Shao Tian is also three years old and will be starting kindergarten soon. However, Shao Tian is even more attached to her father than Shao Yi, clinging to his neck and refusing to let go.

“There are many children in the kindergarten, you can play together…” Shao Yu coaxed patiently.

“Mr. Shao, let me comfort her.” The kindergarten teacher tried to take the child from Shao Yu’s arms.

Helpless, Shao Yu could only smile apologetically at the kindergarten teacher.

The teacher then said, “Mr. Shao, why don’t you leave your child here like the other parents? There are many teachers and children here, and you can comfort her together and she will gradually calm down.”

Shao Tian clearly understood, and immediately grabbed Shao Yu’s sleeve and wouldn’t let go, afraid that Shao Yu would put her down directly.

Shao Yu said to the teacher, “It’s okay, just coax the child slowly.”

“Does Tiantian like it here?” Shao Yu asked softly.

Shao Tian shook her head and said to Shao Yu, “I don’t like it, Dad. Let’s go back quickly.”

Seeing her like this, Shao Yu couldn’t help but laugh and said, “You haven’t even gone inside to take a look, how come you don’t like it?”

This kindergarten was chosen by Shao Yu after several visits. The teachers there all had pleasant appearances. Shao Tian was already four years old, and even though Shao Yu loved her dearly, she couldn’t keep her by her side all the time, leaving her without playmates of the same age.

Shao Tian hugged Shao Yu’s neck tightly and whispered, “I wouldn’t like it even if I went inside.”

“Whether we like it or not, let’s go in and take a look, okay?” Shao Yu asked softly.

Shao Tian turned around, glanced at the whimsical decorations throughout the kindergarten, and the children of the same age who were being brought over by their parents. In the end, she couldn’t help but nod slightly.

Shao Yu carried the child inside. At this time, there were already children playing in the small playground in the park.

Seeing so many peers playing together, Shao Tian felt a little tempted.

Shao Yu put her down and asked softly, “Do you want to go and play with them?”

Shao Tian hesitated for a moment, but still grabbed the hem of Shao Yu’s clothes and wouldn’t let go.

Helpless, Shao Yu said, “Dad is right here. If you don’t agree, Dad won’t leave, okay?”

Seeing that Shao Yu had indeed not left, Shao Tian took a few more steps forward with relief.

Shao Tian said something to a little girl, and soon the little girl pulled her to play on the slide.

When Shao Tian was having fun, she looked back and saw that Shao Yu was still standing there.

The kindergarten teacher then came over and said, “Mr. Shao, Tian Tian is playing very well with the other children now. If you are busy, you can leave first.”

The teacher knew Shao Yu was very busy and was afraid of delaying his filming.

Shao Yu shook his head and said, “It’s okay, I’ll leave after Tian Tian agrees.”

When Shao Tian took a break during the game, Shao Yu brought over a glass of water and fed it to the child in small sips.

“Does Tiantian like it here?”

Shao Yu then asked, “Then Tian Tian, you can stay here and play. Daddy will come to pick you up this afternoon, okay?”

Shao Tian hesitated for a moment, but still firmly shook her head and said, “I want my dad.”

“Is Tian Tian having fun here?” Shao Yu asked the child with seemingly endless patience.

Shao Tian nodded vigorously and added, “Dad will stay here and play with me.”

Shao Yu said with a smile, “Tian Tian likes it here because it’s full of playmates. Daddy is an adult, and he has to go to work, so he needs to play with his friends.”

Shao Tian was happy playing with her peers, and she understood Shao Yu’s words perfectly, so she could only nod reluctantly.

Even though it was only a few hours apart, the little girl looked reluctant to part and said softly, “Daddy, when you’re playing with other people, remember to think of Tian Tian. Tian Tian will always miss Daddy too.”

Shao Yu smiled and nodded, then gave the children a few more instructions to be careful before leaving with peace of mind.

Shao Yu finished his workday exceptionally quickly and gave his studio colleagues an early holiday. This period was just the preparation stage for the new movie, so it wasn’t particularly busy.

At 4:30 p.m. sharp, Shao Yu was waiting at the kindergarten.

When Shao Tian saw her father, she immediately cheered and rushed over to him. Then, Shao Yu hugged her and she waved goodbye to the other children.

Shao Tian clearly had a lot of fun today, chattering away to Shao Yu about what happened that day.

These were clearly just childish games for little girls, but Shao Yu listened very carefully and even asked a few questions from time to time. With someone cheering her on, Shao Tian became even happier. When she picked up her brother, she repeated all of these same things to him.

Although Shao Yi was very smart, he was still a child after all and did not have the same patience as Shao Yu. He said, “It’s just something little girls do when they play in the sand. What’s the point?”

“Why will I hit someone? The teacher said that hitting someone makes you a bad kid,” Shao Tian said.

“If someone bullies you, fight back. That way, they won’t dare to lay a hand on you again,” Shao Yi said, even waving his fist.

After hearing her brother’s words, Shao Tian couldn’t help but glance at Shao Yu.

Shao Yu asked softly, “Does it hurt?”

Shao Tiantian nodded, but added, “Dad, don’t worry, it only hurt for a little while. It’s just that Dad spent the whole morning braiding my hair and messed it up.”

Shao Yu touched her little braids and said, “Daddy will re-braid them for you when we get back.”

The little girl loved to look pretty, and she immediately cheered when she heard this.

Shao Yu then asked, “He pulled your hair, Tian Tian, what were you thinking?”

Shao Tian thought for a moment and said, “I’m not happy.”

“Then what do you think he should do to make you happy?” Shao Yu asked again.

“I want him to apologize to me. Dad said that if you do something wrong, you should apologize. If he apologizes to me, I won’t hold it against him!”

Children’s fights can be a big deal or a small deal. It’s wrong to teach children to be pushovers, and it’s also wrong to teach them to solve problems with violence. Adults interfering can make things worse.

Pulling hair isn’t a big deal, because Shao Yu thought he should guide the child first, listen to her thoughts, and see what she was thinking.

“So how do you plan to make him apologize?” Shao Yu asked.

Shao Tian lowered her head and thought for a moment, then raised her head and looked at Shao Yu with pleading eyes: “Dad, make him apologize to me.”

It’s perfectly normal for children to think of their parents first.
