TSFLIP Chapter 784

“It can’t be.”

“What can’t?”

“I mean… finding someone better-looking than me—it would be quite difficult.” He blinked, his eyes glinting with a hint of mischief that somehow managed to look charming rather than arrogant.

She had no comeback for that.

Truly, trying to find someone more beautiful than this man—this man who looked like he’d stepped right out of a dream or descended from the heavens—would be an impossible task.

Feng Guang stared at him for a long while. He didn’t even look embarrassed by his own words. That surprised her; she hadn’t taken him for someone so shameless. Finally, she braced her hands on the table and climbed up onto the stone bench, leaning forward until she was close enough to cup his face in her small hands.

He froze slightly at the sudden contact.

Her palms pressed gently against his skin—smooth and cool to the touch. The first thing she thought was how soft his skin felt. Then she met his dark eyes and grinned. “Your face doesn’t feel thick at all. When you said you were handsome, I thought you were being thick-skinned.”

“Miss Xia,” he said softly, the corners of his eyes curving slightly. His voice was as calm and light as a passing breeze. He raised one elegant hand, placed it over hers, and easily wrapped her small fingers in his. “Standing like that is dangerous.”

She glanced down. Indeed, she was still small, and the stone bench was high enough to make a fall unpleasant. His words weren’t wrong.

Thinking better of it, she let go of his face, climbed down carefully, and exhaled once her feet touched the ground. Standing beside him, she had to tilt her head back to meet his eyes even though he was sitting. “You know my name,” she said. “But I still don’t know yours. That doesn’t seem fair.”

He smiled slightly. “Does Miss Xia want to know my name because you care about fairness… or because you simply want to know?”

She touched her chin thoughtfully. “Is there a difference?”

“Perhaps there is. Perhaps not.” His gaze lowered as he quietly stroked the sleeping white cat in his lap.

“Hmm… I want to know your name,” she said at last, brightening. “You promised to be my friend, didn’t you? Then I should know what to call you.”

“You’re right, Miss Xia.”

He really was beautiful—refined, otherworldly. When his serene face curved into another faint smile, it was like a pebble dropped into still water, sending ripples through her chest that refused to fade.

The soft light of the setting sun wrapped around him like a gauzy veil, blurring his edges, as if at any moment he might dissolve into the mist and vanish into a world she could never reach.

A sudden unease welled in her chest. Without thinking, she reached out and gently caught one of his long, slender fingers.

He looked down at her.

The feeling passed quickly. She steadied herself, lowered her voice, and asked, “Then… what’s your name?”

His eyes were as clear as spring water, deep as a quiet pond. A faint smile tugged at his lips—subtle, yet impossibly captivating.

He looked every bit the way a deity might appear in mortal form—graceful, untouchably elegant.

“My name is…” He took her hand, and with his fingertip, he traced two characters into her palm. “Do you recognize them?”

She studied the marks, mouthing the words. “Shu Feng?”

“Yes.” His smile deepened. “My name is Shu Feng.”
