After the awkward situation was resolved, Feng Guang finally felt at ease. There was still an hour left on their drive, and she leaned into An Tong’s embrace, quickly falling asleep. It wasn’t that she was particularly fond of sleeping, but she hadn’t slept well the night before. Now, with An Tong holding her securely, that overwhelming sense of safety wrapped around her, making her close her eyes in comfort and drift into slumber.

An Tong kept one arm around her shoulder, making sure she didn’t bump into anything due to the car’s motion. He listened to her soft, steady breathing and simply watched her sleep peacefully in his arms, feeling like there was nothing more fulfilling than this moment.

Of course, she had no idea how many people had come looking for him while she slept. But upon seeing their intimate posture, many silently left without a word. By the time she woke up, she’d probably heard plenty of gossip about the two of them.

Still, what’s wrong with asserting his claim? An Tong smiled. These seventeen- and eighteen-year-old boys were far too showy. He realized that thinking any of them could be a better match for her than he had been his biggest mistake.

When the car arrived at the destination, under the organization of the class teacher and the class president, Fang Yaya, everyone orderly split into groups to set up their tents. The campsite was in a beautiful location, shaded by trees, with lush green grass and a crystal-clear river nearby. It was an unspoiled natural landscape, free from any pollution.

An Tong withdrew his gaze from the scenery and couldn’t help but ask the person beside him, who had been silent for too long, “Feng Guang, what’s wrong?”

“I feel like… people are giving me weird looks,” she said. And oddly enough, no one seemed to be surrounding An Tong for conversation anymore.

An Tong remained calm. “Maybe you’re just overthinking it.”

“Really?”

“Maybe we should set up our tent first.”

“Oh, I almost forgot! I haven’t even set up my tent yet!” Preoccupied with those strange thoughts, she had completely forgotten about it. Without setting it up, she wouldn’t have anywhere to sleep tonight.

Feng Guang was paired with Fang Yaya, but as class president, Fang Yaya was too busy helping everyone else with small tasks to help set up the tent, so Feng Guang was left to handle it alone.

Seeing her running around, An Tong kindly asked, “Need a hand?”

“No, no! You just stay there and relax,” Feng Guang waved her hand dismissively, despite being swamped with work.

She wasn’t the only one. Mu Tianze, who had been paired with An Tong, was also working on his own. But since he was a guy, tall and strong, with experience in outdoor camping, setting up a tent was a piece of cake for him. Since Fang Yaya was too busy to bother with him, what did he do with his free time?

Naturally, he found entertainment in watching Feng Guang struggle.

“Hey, cousin, doesn’t she look like an idiot? That pole is supposed to go in the opposite corner.”

She threw down the things in her hands and marched up to Mu Tianze. “Can you just shut up?”

Mu Tianze smirked arrogantly. “No, what are you gonna do about it?”

“Then go die!” She lifted her foot and delivered a swift roundhouse kick. Caught off guard, Mu Tianze was knocked to the ground.

He was used to being the one hitting others, never the one being hit. The sight of him sprawled on the ground was beyond pitiful. It took him a moment to get up, seething with rage. “Damn it, Xia Feng Guang! Just wait, I’m going to teach you a lesson!”

An Tong suddenly spoke up, “Tianze, maybe you should go wash your face by the river.”

Mu Tianze wiped his face with his hand, coming away with a palm full of mud. His appearance was important, so after glaring at Feng Guang, he snarled, “I’ll deal with you later,” and walked off.

Only then did Feng Guang realize that An Tong had witnessed her unladylike behavior. Feeling embarrassed, she muttered, “Actually… I’m usually very calm and composed.”

An Tong gave a quiet “hmm” and then casually added, “Pink.”

Feng Guang froze for a second, then her face turned bright red.
