When Aunt Zhang woke up in the middle of the night and saw that he was still busy, she asked, “Sir, aren’t you going to rest?”

Duan Zihui was staring at the data on the computer when he heard Aunt Zhang’s words. He smiled and shook his head: “I haven’t finished my work yet. You go back to sleep.”

Aunt Zhang nodded slightly and said with a smile, “Sir, you must be very busy with work.”

Duan Zihui did not reply to her.

His long, slender, snow-white fingers landed on the keyboard, correcting the data that had errors.

Aunt Zhang then said, “Sir, I’ll go check on Miss Xie.”

Aunt Zhang already knew that the two were ex-husband and ex-wife and had a daughter.

She had taken care of many clients, but this was the first time she had ever seen the ex-husband show such concern for his ex-wife.

Having lived so many years, she could understand some people to a certain extent; these two must still have some feelings for each other.

Aunt Zhang couldn’t help but sigh.

The two are both very good-looking, and their child is well-behaved.

He smiled helplessly, covered her with the blanket, turned up the air conditioning in the room, and then left.

Just as he was about to go to Xie Qingyu’s room, he saw her awake, walking out of the room, looking like she wasn’t fully awake yet.

The table lamp in the living room was on, its orange light dimming.

Xie Qingyu also came out following this light. She wasn’t fully awake yet and had forgotten that she hadn’t turned on the light.

She was startled to see someone suddenly appear in front of her. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was Duan Zihui.

She snapped out of her daze, looked up at the clock in the room, pointed at him, and then at herself.

She rubbed her eyes, feeling as if she were dreaming.

“I…you?” She exclaimed in surprise.

“It’s already three or four o’clock. What are you doing in my house?”

Xie Qingyu was horrified to learn that he was still there.

Duan Zihui reached out and turned on the light in the room, then walked over and touched her forehead, saying calmly, “You’re fine. The fever has gone down.”

His palms carried his unique warmth.

Xie Qingyu paused for a moment before asking, “I have a fever again?”

Duan Zihui withdrew his hand, glanced at her, and said with a hint of a smile in his eyes, “Otherwise what?”

Xie Qingyu said, “Should I award you the ‘Best Ex-Husband Award’? You took me to the hospital and stayed here with me.”

Duan Zihui: “…”

He said, “You should keep this award for yourself. I’m going back at dawn.”

Xie Qingyu ignored him and walked around him to Zhuzhu’s room, only to find a computer on the coffee table in the living room.

She didn’t know how she felt.

But she knew that not feeling anything was best.

So she pretended not to see it and went to look at Zhuzhu.

By the light of the nightlight, she could see the little girl sleeping soundly, her little hands clutching the blanket, her cheeks rosy, looking adorable.
