Xie Qingyu glanced at Duan Zihui’s expression, feeling quite pleased.

She opened the album and showed the photos to her daughter, who had come running over.

When Zhuzhu saw the little animal in the photo with her father’s face covered in black, she also started to giggle and thought that it was really funny.

Only Duan Zihui had an ugly expression as if he had been dipped in ink.

Duan Zihui took the phone and deleted the photo Xie Qingyu had just taken under the shocked gaze of the child. Then he scrolled to Zhuzhu’s old photos and admired them with her.

He asked her, “When was this rehearsed?”

The little girl, wearing a yellow performance costume, had a red dot on her forehead and was wearing makeup. She looked very beautiful.

When Zhuzhu heard her father’s question, her attention was immediately drawn to it.

She snuggled into her father’s arms and began to tell him about it.

“Dad, this was taken during a kindergarten performance.”

The little girl wearing sunglasses, blue clothes, and two ponytails was very cool.

She was wearing a pink dress, with glass and fish in the background.

“This was taken at the aquarium.”

There were many photos of Zhuzhu.

There were photos of her playing around over the past two years, photos of her just learning to walk, crawling, not yet walking, and just after she was born.

It documented every bit of her growth.

Bit by bit.

And he, her father, had never been a part of any of this.

Duan Zihui felt a strange feeling in his heart.

With a little bit of dense pain.

Did he regret it? Of course, he did.

If he hadn’t been so young and reckless back then, it wouldn’t have gotten to this point.

Xie Qingyu liked him back then, but he just wanted freedom.

He thought that not having affairs outside was the greatest loyalty he could show to the marriage.

But he forgot that Xie Qingyu was an ordinary girl. She wanted gentle care and companionship, but he couldn’t give them. She accumulated enough disappointment, and then she left without looking back.

Duan Zihui silently looked through the photos of Zhuzhu in Xie Qingyu’s phone, as well as various happy photos of her and Xie Qingyu together. Although he didn’t want to admit it, they were actually very happy without him.
