Hmm… Ignoring the fact that it was a zombie crystal nucleus, it was actually quite beautiful.
He reached out with his fingertips, intending to pick it up, but something caught his attention. He noticed a strange gap in the middle of the crystal nucleus.
It wasn’t just a single crystal nucleus—it was a complete one, split neatly down the middle.
His brow furrowed. He twisted his fingers to pick it up and examine it more closely, but something resisted.
Gu Chi narrowed his eyes, adding more pressure.
With a slight crack, the crystal nucleus finally lifted, revealing something unexpected beneath it.
Two silver rings, one larger than the other, had been hidden under the halves of the nucleus.
These weren’t just any rings—no, they were rings with zombie crystal nuclei embedded in them.
A jolt of realization hit Gu Chi, his breath catching in his chest. For a moment, his mind went completely blank.
He stood frozen in place, the weight of the discovery sinking in. Then, without thinking, he turned around and sprinted toward the door.
“Chi Ying…”
He charged out of the room, moving swiftly toward the next one.
When he reached the door, his hand trembled slightly as he knocked. “Chi Ying!”
“Chi Ying, open the door!”
But today, it seemed, the shy ghost wasn’t going to make things easy for him.
