Lin Qiao was no longer in the mood to go to work. She quickly called Bai Mengying, but no one answered after three calls in a row, so she quickly went downstairs to go back to school.
“It’s useless for you to go. The result will not change because of this.”
Lin Qiao ignored it and said, “Whether it is useful or not, now that I know it, I have to tell her.”
Lin Qiao quickly went down to the first floor. Just as she exited the gate, she ran into Su Zhengxing who was returning from a meeting outside.
He was wearing a pure black suit with dark patterns and a tie of the same color with a gold carved tie clip on it. His dark brown hair was parted on the side and combed back into a slicked-back style. His face showed no expression.
Qi Yuan was following beside him and reporting something.
After hearing it, he adjusted the pair of transparent frameless glasses on his straight nose, and a faint smile appeared at the corners of his sharp lips.
Under normal circumstances, Lin Qiao would probably think about how to attract his attention and advance the main task. But now her mind was full of the fact that her friend’s company was going to be acquired, so she had to hurry back to school to tell Xiao Bai.
As she was walking quickly forward, a man in a gray jacket appeared from nowhere and almost knocked her nose off.
“Hey, you…”
Lin Qiao covered her nose and was about to argue with him, but she saw that the man didn’t even look at her and walked straight to the center of the hall.
When he walked, something flickered in the back pocket of his jeans.
Lin Qiao looked closely and found that it was a knife!
The direction he was going was exactly where Su Zhengxing was!
No way!
Her money!
Her 100 million!
Lin Qiao’s mind buzzed. She didn’t have time to think about it, so she instinctively rushed forward.
“He has a knife in his pocket!”
She shouted loudly.
Seeing that his plan was exposed, the man in the gray jacket did not wait to get close enough. Instead, he pulled out the knife from his jeans and slashed at Qi Yuan.
In a flash, Lin Qiao pounced and held him down, but it was too late.
The knife still hit Qi Yuan’s shoulder. Qi Yuan fell into a pool of blood, covering her shoulder.
Su Zhengxing hurriedly caught her.
The gray-clothed man did not give up struggling after being knocked down by Lin Qiao. He held the knife tightly in his hand and waved it behind him.
Lin Qiao accidentally got her arm scratched by him, but fortunately, she was strong, so she quickly knelt on the man, clamped the back of his neck with her knee, and pressed his hand holding the weapon to the ground with both hands.
In a few seconds, the security arrived and completely subdued the attacker.
The people in the hall dialed 120 and 110.
The ambulance quickly lifted Qi Yuan onto a stretcher, and the police also arrested the criminal.
Learning that Qi Yuan was not in danger of life, Lin Qiao patted the dust on her body and prepared to leave.
“Wait.”
Su Zhengxing stopped her. His eyes fell on her injured arm.
“You should go to the hospital too.”
Lin Qiao looked down at the bloodstain on her arm, took out a tissue, and wiped it, saying, “It’s okay, just a scratch. I’ll just apply some iodine when I get home.”
“Go to the hospital for treatment.” Su Zhengxing’s expression was serious.
“Mr. Su, I’m really fine. If you are really embarrassed, please compensate me with a piece of clothing. I just bought this white skirt this month, and it was quite expensive. I can’t wear it anymore.”
Lin Qiao looked at the bloodstain on the skirt with regret.
