“What about salt-baked shrimp?” He pointed to the fresh shrimp in the refrigerator.
Lin Qiao waved her hands at the live shrimp, “Salt-baked shrimp are too fishy. It’s not good!”
“This and that are not good. Are you not good at cooking?” Su Zhengxing curled his lips, looking at her with interest.
“How could that be!”
Lin Qiao was about to retort, but the Su Zhengxing in her mind reminded her, “Stop pretending. He’s seen through it.”
Lin Qiao was speechless, thinking, “You must be like Sun Wukong. You can even see that.”
Since she’d already been discovered, she might as well lay it all out.
“You’re right, I can’t cook. I only know how to make scrambled eggs with tomatoes and lettuce.”
Su Zhengxing, however, wasn’t angry. He rolled up his sleeves naturally.
“If you can’t, just stay over there.”
Lin Qiao watched him skillfully pick, wash, and put the vegetables into the pot. She was so surprised that she could almost fit an egg in her mouth.
“You can actually cook! How can you cook? How can you cook?”
Su Zhengxing, still chopping vegetables, glanced at her.
“You can even cook two dishes, so why can’t I?”
Because you’re a domineering CEO!
Whose domineering CEO can cook?
Aren’t all domineering CEOs supposed to have stomach problems, be picky eaters, and be unable to take care of themselves? (T/N: Well, maybe it’ll count if it’s the domineering CEO with a golden spoon! How can he be a picky eater when he is not well-off?)
Lin Qiao had mixed feelings, feeling both relieved and disappointed. She was relieved that Su Zhengxing was healthy and normal, but disappointed that he was too normal, without any of the drama like in the novels and TV dramas.
The steam from the frying pan hit his glasses. Although it disappeared from the lenses in an instant, Lin Qiao was worried that it would be inconvenient for him.
She asked, “Don’t you need to take off your glasses?”
“No.”
Lin Qiao glanced at him from the side and was surprised to find that his lenses seemed a little different.
Why didn’t they have a curvature?
However, she had long forgotten all the physics she learned in junior high and high school, so she didn’t pay much attention to it.
In the end, Lin Qiao, who had boasted about cooking, actually enjoyed Su Zhengxing’s four dishes and one soup.
Salt-baked shrimp, braised pork, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and lettuce—each dish was glistening and incredibly tempting.
He not only knew how to cook, but he also did it well!
It turns out that excellent people are excellent at everything they do!
“Try it.” Su Zhengxing washed his hands and sat down at the table.
Lin Qiao couldn’t wait to take a bite of the braised pork. The rich sauce flavor, the tender, sweet flavor, and the texture melted in her mouth. It was so delicious that she almost swallowed her tongue!
“How’s it?” Su Zhengxing asked.
Lin Qiao, not wanting to be too obvious, picked up another salt-baked shrimp.
“I can’t taste it. Let me try it again.”
The shrimp shells were crispy, the meat was soft, and the aroma of salt-baking, with a hint of oil, filled her nostrils. She was practically in tears!
“Did you taste it?”
Lin Qiao motioned for him to be patient and served some more lettuce.
“Let me savor it carefully, carefully.”
Help! How could he make such a simple vegetarian dish so delicious?
Why didn’t he open a restaurant?
“Is this what you want to try next?” Su Zhengxing pushed the plate of scrambled eggs with tomatoes in front of her.
Lin Qiao unceremoniously took a bite with her chopsticks and took a bite. Her eyebrows, which had been raised just moments ago, furrowed in a frown.
