TFSRITA Chapter 113

Yan Xianhong wiped his face and left the Chu family in a disheveled state, too embarrassed to cause any more trouble or even stay. When he got home and saw the eager faces of his family, his throat went dry, and he hoarsely said, “That money-losing idiot has set me up. Hurry up and prepare to sell the company, or we’ll end up losing everything!”

“What do you mean?” Yan Min was the first to scream. “Sell the company? Didn’t you go to apologize to the Chu family? Where is Yan Qing?”

“Yeah, what’s going on, dear?” Nie Cuihua was also startled, having never seen her husband like this before. Her confidence crumbled, and in a panic, she asked, “What’s happening?”

Yan Xianhong gritted his teeth and bitterly explained what had just happened. Finally, he shouted, “Damn it, who the hell thought they could use her to exchange for the Chu family’s help? Are they out of their minds?”

Yan Min stared at him in confusion, then realized that something didn’t add up. Though she had supported his plan at first, now that things had gone wrong, she immediately pointed the finger. “Isn’t it your fault? Now look at what happened! We’ve been tricked! Ahh, it’s all your fault!”

She rushed at him, hitting and kicking while crying, “My money, it’s all gone!”

Yan Xianhong didn’t take this lying down and tried to fight back, but to his surprise, Yan Min, a woman, was hitting him with such fury that he could barely defend himself. She seemed to want to kill him, landing blows to his face and neck, and he was struggling to cope.

Nie Cuihua immediately tried to pull her off and help her husband. “You bitch, how dare you hit my husband! I’ll kill you!”

Wei Changhong saw this and quickly jumped into the fray. Yan’s elderly parents were still dazed but rushed over when they saw the two children fighting.

“Ah!” Yan’s grandmother was accidentally struck by a punch to the face, stunned for a while, and unable to stand, she fell to the ground.

Yan’s grandfather cried out in alarm, “Stop, stop, you’ve hurt your mother!”

Only then did Yan Xianhong and Yan Min stop fighting, quickly turning and scrambling to help the elderly woman.

The scene with the Yan family was complete chaos.

Meanwhile, at the Chu family, everything remained calm.

After Yan Xianhong was thrown out, Zhou Huaiya calmly asked, “Do you want to ruin the Yan family?”

Chu Heng, also speaking gently, added, “The Yan family’s assets were created by your father. If you want to reclaim them, your uncle can help. This company should have grown well with proper management, but unfortunately, the boss lacked vision.”

Yan Qing shook her head. “Thank you, uncle, but I’m not interested in the company. I just want to see them get what they deserve.”

At this point, Chu Heng understood and nodded. “Understood.”

Seeing her certainty, Zhou Huaiya smiled more warmly and took her hand. “Auntie doesn’t have many demands. You’re still young, so I won’t force you into anything. Don’t feel pressured. Chu Heng may not speak much, but he’s a good person. Don’t believe all the rumors. Is there anything you need to retrieve from the Yan family?”

Yan Qing shook her head again. “No, I’ve severed all ties with them.”

She didn’t say more; Chu Heng had already agreed, and she just needed to wait for the Yan family to face their downfall.

Zhou Huaiya was even more pleased by her decision. When Yan Xianhong first came to the Chu family, he had already explained Yan Qing’s background—her parents were deceased, and her grandparents had never been involved. Now that she had fallen out with the Yan family, she was left with no one but herself.

Judging by Yan Xianhong’s behavior, it was clear that the Yan family had treated her poorly. If they were kinder to her now, at least she would be more inclined to treat Chu Zhao better.

After all, she was the first girl to get Chu Zhao to speak. Zhou Huaiya couldn’t help but take her seriously.

Chu Heng shared the same thoughts. His son, Chu Zhao, was their greatest pain. It was because of them that he had lost his legs at the age of sixteen and suffered for the rest of his life.

Now, ten years later, Chu Zhao’s condition was deteriorating, and they had become increasingly anxious. They had even heard of the Gu family’s situation, which sparked some thoughts, leading them to spread the word.

Their family was powerful and not afraid of scheming people. Their younger son, Chu Yang, was a good child and would take care of his brother even after they were gone.

This was why they had decided to help.

Looking at the girl in front of her, Zhou Huaiya felt even more tender toward her. She was slim, just like her son, maybe even thinner. She seemed fragile, but Zhou Huaiya softened her voice, full of expectation, saying, “Why don’t you stay here with us? Auntie will go prepare a room for you.”

Yan Qing smiled sweetly, looking gentle and obedient, a stark contrast to her cold gaze earlier when she’d looked at Yan Xianhong. She seemed like an innocent, harmless little girl. “Sure, thank you, Auntie.”

“No need to thank me,” Zhou Huaiya quickly shook her head. “Once I’ve prepared your room, I’ll take you shopping for clothes. Come, let’s go upstairs.”

“Okay.” Yan Qing obediently let herself be led upstairs.

Just then, Chu Zhao, who had been in the back garden, appeared in the living room. Behind him, the young man who was pushing his wheelchair straightened up and properly adjusted the chair’s armrests.

As they passed by Chu Heng, Chu Zhao didn’t even acknowledge him.

Chu Heng wasn’t offended. He had long since become used to his son’s coldness. His stern face softened, and he smiled at Chu Zhao. “Zhao Zhao, that little girl has stayed. She’s upstairs now. Shall we have dinner together later?”

Chu Zhao didn’t respond, as if he hadn’t heard.

The young man behind him, Qin Zhen, didn’t dare stop. He followed Chu Zhao’s wishes and adjusted the wheelchair, letting it move up the ramp while following behind.

Chu Heng’s face briefly showed a hint of disappointment, but he quickly recovered. He took out his phone and called his younger son. “Yang Yang, come home for dinner tonight.”

“Hey! It’s good news. You’ll know when you get back,” Chu Heng said with a cheerful tone, listening as his younger son agreed. Hanging up, he looked content, his eyes full of hope.
