TYRPSM Chapter23

Extra 2 (part 1)

August arrived, and Shu An moved into Nie Yunshen’s home with total nonchalance.

The apartment in Fenghua Li was one Nie Yunshen had bought himself. When the development first hit the market, the prices were exorbitant; even with Director Nie’s million-yuan annual salary, he had to take out a mortgage for a portion of it. His daily expenses including maintaining the house and the car, plus the cost of food, drinks, and entertainment weren’t small, leaving him with almost no savings at the end of the year.

Fortunately, his parents were healthy, and his older brother and sister-in-law were capable, meaning Director Nie usually lived in a state of “one person eats, the whole family is fed.” Even so, he was momentarily stunned when Shu An mentioned moving in.

When the topic came up, they had just finished a satisfying, vigorous round. Nie Yunshen lay there, pleasantly limp with his limbs sprawled lazily across the King-size bed.

Shu An got out of bed to get a drink of water. After several “visits,” he had become incredibly familiar with this three-bedroom, two-living-room apartment. He returned without even turning on the lights in the hallway and set the water glass on the nightstand. With his eyes closed, Nie Yunshen felt the slight dip in the mattress beside him and reached out to stroke Shu An’s bare waist.

Nie Yunshen felt he was becoming a bit too obsessed with Shu An’s body. As he kept stroking, he couldn’t help but want to pounce again to lick and bite. During the peak of the intensity earlier, he might have bitten Shu An hard enough to leave blood marks. He couldn’t help it, the lines of Shu An’s shoulders and arms when tensed and exerting force were just too firm and beautiful.

It was a visual feast of ivory and fine jade, yet it possessed the substance of surging, molten iron.

His hand was currently wandering lazily over the undulating lines he had personally marked with his eyes squinting in pure enjoyment as he stroked.

Shu An reclined against the headboard and let him touch as he pleased. Outside the window, bright moonlight streamed in, casting a clear, cool glow across the room. He reached out to fiddle with Nie Yunshen’s earlobe and asked, “What do you want to eat tomorrow morning?”

“Rice rolls with egg, vegetable congee, and put extra water chestnuts in the beef balls, no dried tangerine peel.” Nie Yunshen rattled off a list without hesitation.

“Alright.”

Nie Yunshen let out a yawn and then he heard Shu An ask again, “Do you want to have breakfast like this every day?”

The person being questioned didn’t quite catch the drift; he blinked and turned his head as if he hadn’t heard correctly.

Shu An laughed before sinking his body down to pull Nie Yunshen into his arms. He kissed the tip of his nose and his lips, while coaxing him like one would a child, “I’ll make you delicious food, and I’ll sleep with you.”

Nie Yunshen burst out laughing and while laughing, he exchanged a wet kiss with Shu An. The other party’s soft, warm tongue swept through the seam of his lips, and he took it into his mouth to suck on it, speaking indistinctly at the same time: “Am I… finding myself a Shell Prince?”

Shu An very gently stroked his backside. “Yes, Mrs. Nie.”

Nie Yunshen shuddered at the cheesiness of it before pulling back a bit to stare at Shu An in horror, while Shu An gave the firm mound of flesh in his palm a forceful squeeze. “You disagree? Fine, then the least you can do is take responsibility for the dishes.”

Nie Yunshen hesitated and didn’t answer so Shu An flipped him over and pinned him down with a mix of gentle and overwhelming power. Shu An murmured into his ear, “I’ve wasted so many years; I don’t want to let go of you for even a second now…”

In a flush of heat, feeling both embarrassed and dazed, Nie Yunshen agreed!

Shu An moved in the very next day. The upside was that Director Nie got to eat a breakfast made with love by his boyfriend every morning; the downside was that his wall-to-wall wardrobe was split down the middle.

Nie Yunshen was an extremely vain person with a massive collection of clothes; the wardrobe hadn’t been emptied to begin with, and once Shu An moved in, it instantly became a tight squeeze.

He contemplated converting the guest bedroom into a walk-in closet, but Shu An told him not to go to such lengths. “Let’s leave it for now,” he said. “Later, we’ll get a bigger house, and you can handle all the interior design.”

Nie Yunshen scoffed at Boss Shu’s “nouveau riche” attitude, but he didn’t argue. For someone in the late stages of “laziness cancer” like him, renovating a room could only ever exist in his imagination. When he first bought this place, he had specifically looked for a fully furnished, high-end unit so he could just move in with his bags and avoid any hassle.

The location of Fenghua Li was excellent, not too far from either Bank F or the Lans Group. It was just that one lay to the east and the other to the west. When they left together in the morning, their two cars would exit the underground garage one after the other, creating a real-life scene straight out of “Turn Left, Turn Right”.

Nie Yunshen had never been in a proper relationship, much less known how two grown men were supposed to live together, so he was a bit apprehensive about Shu An’s persistence in moving in.

Isn’t it said that distance creates beauty? Shu An had liked him for so many years; was it possible that it was just a case of “what you can’t have is always the best”? Now that there was no distance between them at all, would that “beauty” quickly vanish into thin air?

The more Director Nie thought about it, the more he felt this possibility was very high. So, one evening while leaning against the kitchen doorway watching Shu An cook dinner for him, he suddenly asked, “Boss Shu, do you still like me that much right now?”

Wearing loungewear and an apron, Boss Shu expertly tossed the spatula in his hand and replied without looking back, “I like you more every day than I did the day before.”

Nie Yunshen chuckled. “Boss Shu, your sweet talk is so smooth; have you practiced this many times before?”

Shu An didn’t answer him immediately. Instead, he turned off the heat, plated the stir-fried clams in black bean sauce and then turned around to beckon him with a finger.

“Come here.”

Nie Yunshen stared at the bright, fragrant plate of clams and swallowed hard. He walked over and was about to grab one with his hand.

Shu An gave the back of his hand a firm but not heavy slap. “Chopsticks.”

Nie Yunshen obediently picked up the chopsticks, tucked a piece of clam meat into his mouth, and said, “Delicious.”

Watching Nie Yunshen eat with such complete satisfaction, the tenderness and deep affection in Shu An’s eyes seemed ready to overflow.

He said, “No.”

Nie Yunshen was currently busy battling a clamshell. He looked up upon hearing this, clearly having already forgotten the question he had asked half a minute ago. “What?”

Shu An said, “I haven’t practiced with anyone else.”

Nie Yunshen rubbed his chin. “Looks like we’re both each other’s first love then.”

Shu An arched an eyebrow at him, his doubt clearly written on his face..

Nie Yunshen quickly raised his hand. “I swear, even though I’ve had plenty of flings, I’ve never actually been in a relationship.”

Shu An didn’t bother entertaining him; he simply picked up the plate of clams and headed to the dining room.

Nie Yunshen hurried after him, though it was unclear whether he was chasing Shu An or the plate of savory, delicious clams in Shu An’s hands.

Two dishes and a soup were already on the table. As the clams were set down, Shu An sent Nie Yunshen back to the kitchen to fetch the bowls for rice. Thus, Director Nie was forced to double back and bring out two bowls.

Shu An’s cooking was so delicious that Nie Yunshen temporarily shut his mouth to focus all his energy on the clams. Shu An told him to eat more greens, but he completely tuned him out; within minutes, the plate of clams was nothing but a pile of shells.

Shu An ladled a bowl of matsutake chicken soup for him, moved the braised ribs away from his reach, and replaced them with the kale in ginger sauce.

Nie Yunshen was quite dissatisfied. “I want meat.”

Shu An glanced at him. “Eat it later.”

Nie Yunshen insisted, “I want to eat it now.”

Shu An replied, “Then should we clear the table first?”

Nie Yunshen finally realized what he was implying. For a man so lacking in principles, he actually blushed. “Holy shit, do you have no shame at all?”

Shu An smiled; clearly, he did not.

Director Nie admitted defeat as he obediently took two bites of the kale in front of him and stared at the braised ribs near Shu An pitifully.

As a reward, Shu An pushed the plate a little closer. Nie Yunshen brightened up immediately and said quite virtuously, “I’ll do the dishes tonight.” Then he added, “And there’s no such thing as ‘table play’ happening.”

Boss Shu simply smiled, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, and certainly not stopping him from trying to curry favor. However, the moment Nie Yunshen finished the dishes and stepped out of the kitchen, Shu An pinned him right onto the freshly cleaned dining table.

Nie Yunshen: “???”

What happened to the deal where I do the dishes, and we won’t do table play?

Shu An looked down at him from above. “Baby, it’s time for me to have some meat.”

“Pah! I’m the one who gets to have meat… Shu An, you’re a damn liar…”

Nie Yunshen had a busy job but Shu An was actually even busier. The days he could make it home in time to cook dinner were pitifully few, yet breakfast remained an immovable fixture with a never-ending variety of dishes. By the time Nie Yunshen headed to work after eating, the satisfaction and joy on his face were impossible to hide.

The young assistant responsible for buying his breakfast noticed at some point that everything they bought ended up in Director Du’s stomach. Taking a rather rebellious leap of faith, they decided to stop buying it for two days just to observe Director Nie’s reaction. However, Director Nie didn’t notice at all!

The little assistant felt a bit rattled. During the lunch break, they spent two hours gossiping with colleagues before finally reaching a conclusion: Director Nie was likely in a relationship. Not only was he in a relationship, but he was definitely cohabitating as well. Furthermore, the partner had to be both gentle and skilled in the kitchen because these days, Director Nie arrives at work every morning looking thoroughly fed and satisfied!

The gossip was overheard by Director Du, who happened to be passing by. Du Cheng made a sharp turn into Nie Yunshen’s office and asked bluntly, “Are you in a relationship?”

The coffee Nie Yunshen had just sipped sprayed all over his computer screen.

Seeing such a huge reaction, Du Cheng thought he’d gotten it wrong. He scratched his head sheepishly. “I figured it was unlikely. If you’d actually managed to get off the market, how could you not tell me!”

Nie Yunshen gave him a look that was hard to describe but Du Cheng somehow managed to read deep guilt in his eyes.

Guilt? Du Cheng’s heart gave a sudden, violent thud. His mind took a bizarre leap as he asked, “You… you didn’t steal my girlfriend, did you?”

The guilt in Nie Yunshen’s eyes instantly transformed into profound disdain. “She isn’t your girlfriend yet.”

“She will be in the future!” Du Cheng blurted out only to realize something was off. “Holy crap, you really stole my goddess? Nie Yunshen, you unprincipled switch! And here I was treating you like a brother, you’re practically subhuman!”

“……” Nie Yunshen felt a deep weariness in his soul. He really didn’t want a brother this brainless.

Only after Nie Yunshen repeatedly guaranteed he had zero interest in the “girlfriend” did Du Cheng finally leave the office in satisfaction. A few steps away, he realized something wasn’t quite right, he still hadn’t actually figured out if Nie Yunshen was in a relationship or not.

Oh well, whatever. As long as his goddess hadn’t been snatched away, nothing else mattered.

The naive Director Du had no way of knowing that, in the near future, the critical blow Nie Yunshen would deal him would be far more devastating than losing a girlfriend!
