Gu Nian noticed Cheng Shiyin suddenly giving a cold smirk at her phone and asked, “What’s up?”
Cheng Shiyin waved it off and said, “Nothing, just some annoying messages. I already blocked him.”
Surprisingly, Gu Nian snatched the phone away and said, “You can’t just leave it at that. Let me give him a piece of my mind for bothering you.” Gu Nian opened Cheng Shiyin’s QQ and said, “Let me see who’s the blind one here.”
Seeing Gu Nian in such a careless manner despite his elegant appearance made Cheng Shiyin chuckle. She couldn’t help but think, that even handsome guys are just people—just a bit better-looking, that’s all. No big deal.
After a few seconds, Gu Nian moved closer to Cheng Shiyin with the phone, pointing at the number she had just blocked. “This is the guy bothering you?”
“Yep,” Cheng Shiyin glanced at the phone, then back at Gu Nian’s surprised expression. “Do you know him?”
Gu Nian didn’t answer directly. Instead, he removed the number from the blacklist and sent a friend request to the person.
Lin Xin began to reflect on his mistake the moment Cheng Shiyin blocked him. He looked at his message, “Hey, pretty girl, are you there?”—feeling like twisting his head off. It was useless, just a waste. He might as well sell it as pig brain.
As soon as he reached for his throat, an unexpected friend request sent his phone crashing to the floor. Thankfully, the black swan skirt acted as a cushion, saving him.
Lin Xin quickly crawled onto the floor, accepted the request, and then lay back down, fearing he wouldn’t have such luck again if the phone fell.
But the phone was still in Gu Nian’s hands. Seeing Lin Xin had accepted the request, Gu Nian deliberately took a selfie with Cheng Shiyin and sent it before handing the phone back to Cheng Shiyin.
Lin Xin stared at the picture of the two, seeing Gu Nian’s arm casually draped over Cheng Shiyin’s shoulder, thinking it was glaringly conspicuous. Yet, his fingers habitually tapped to open the original and pressed save.
Cheng Shiyin didn’t see a reply from Lin Xin, which left her a bit disappointed. But now she was too busy helping promote the game to follow up. She figured she’d apologize to Lin Xin for blocking her later when she got back.
Meanwhile, Lin Xin found himself inexplicably opening the photo of Gu Nian and Cheng Shiyin again in his album. Just then, Ying Lun walked over, looking down at Lin Xin sprawled out on the floor without a care. He glanced at the photo in Lin Xin’s hand and said softly, “She’s really good-looking.”
Lin Xin didn’t hear him, so Ying Lun spoke up at a normal volume, “Can you send me this picture too?”
Lin Xin didn’t know why, but his hand instinctively dimmed the screen, quickly scrambling to sit up. He hid the phone behind his back and faced Ying Lun, playing dumb, “Send what picture?”
Ying Lun didn’t press further; he didn’t have a valid reason anyway, so he let it go.
Lin Xin didn’t realize it until he looked again—Ying Lun had changed into a white dress shirt, fully buttoned up to the top, but still wearing the Prince’s flesh-colored tights below. Under the dim stage lights, the backlighting on his clothes highlighted every crease and fold, making it clear what was under them, especially below.
Lin Xin quietly admired, “The Minister carries himself well. That calm demeanor is a great example to follow.”
After teasing himself a bit, Lin Xin realized he still hadn’t changed clothes. Looking around, everyone else had finished changing and left. He then asked Ying Lun, “Minister, where do I change clothes?”
Ying Lun pointed to the floor and said, “Here.” Then he walked out, closing the door behind him as he went.
Lin Xin then realized that with only Ying Lun as the lone guy out there, all the other girls had naturally changed inside. He breathed a small sigh of relief—thankfully, they were all gone, otherwise, explaining why her chest was so flat would be tricky.
By the way, Ying Lun’s tight pants were a snug fit, wrapping his behind in a way that even Lin Xin had to admit, “That butt is something!”
Once Lin Xin had changed into her outfit and removed her smoky makeup, she opened the door and found that Ying Lun was still standing outside. Seeing Lin Xin emerge, he quickly asked, “Are you going to look for Gu Nian later? Can you pass along a message for me?”
Lin Xin wondered, “Why don’t you just call him yourself?”
Ying Lun pulled out his phone, showing the red battery indicator in the top right corner. “3—2—1—” and then the phone powered down with a dead battery.
Lin Xin reluctantly agreed to pass the message, though she didn’t even know where Gu Nian was.
Ying Lun was thoughtful, saying, “If you let me see that photo, I’ll know where they are.” He still seemed interested in that picture.
Reluctantly, Lin Xin pulled out her phone, and Ying Lun quickly pointed out their location: “East Playground.”
“Thanks,” Lin Xin said and took off running, completely forgetting that a phone call would have been faster. She also forgot to ask Ying Lun what exactly he wanted her to pass along. She just kept running toward the East Playground, not sure why she was so excited.
Thankfully, Ying Lun remembered and shouted after her, “Tell Gu Nian to bring me a pair of pants!” Ying Lun’s pants had been taken by someone—likely a girl in the troupe—and he was counting on Gu Nian to bring him a spare.
Hoping Lin Xin can hurry back.
