Lin Xin hadn’t attended any promotional department activities for a full week, avoiding running into Ying Lun.

After Ying Lun questioned him backstage about why he didn’t perform well, Lin Xin realized that such a petty person wouldn’t easily let go of the fact that Lin Xin had embarrassed him in front of the entire school. So, he chose to avoid the situation, hoping time would cool Ying Lun’s temper.

Lin Xin couldn’t swim at all, and given his current physical condition, attempting to swim was completely out of the question. It was easier to use “auntie’s time of the month” as an excuse to pass on the swimming plan; sitting by the pool watching others play seemed perfectly fine to him.

So, on Sunday morning, Lin Xin set out dressed in black shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. He didn’t bring any swimming gear but packed plenty of food; a picnic wasn’t something he couldn’t handle better than Lin Xin.

As a good boyfriend, Gu Nian was naturally waiting downstairs at Cheng Shiyin’s house, ready to accompany his girlfriend to the agreed-upon location. But Lin Xin arrived even earlier. Though he didn’t know how to get to the water park, he remembered the route from last week when he walked Cheng Shiyin home from school.

When Cheng Shiyin came downstairs, she saw two people eagerly waiting for her to come out of the building, teasingly saying, “I didn’t realize I was so popular, making you both wait.”

Gu Nian instinctively stepped forward, taking the bag from Cheng Shiyin’s hand and holding her hand, walking alongside Lin Xin.

Watching their natural interaction, Lin Xin felt a mix of envy and jealousy, ultimately looking away. Lin Xin slowed his pace, keeping his head down and following behind the two, realizing he couldn’t get a word in any way. It was better to just play with his phone.

Now Lin Xin realized that by inviting Cheng Shiyin to join them, he was intruding on their private date.

Seeing Lin Xin’s new Weibo post, Cheng Shiyin naturally understood that Lin Xin viewed himself as a big third wheel, explaining the discomfort she could see all over Lin Xin’s face.

So, Cheng Shiyin let go of Gu Nian’s hand and ran to Lin Xin’s side, explaining, “Actually, there’s another person who hasn’t arrived. He’s planning to meet us at the water park; he’s taking a different route.”

Cheng Shiyin didn’t tell Lin Xin who the absent person was. Especially when she noticed Lin Xin relaxing after hearing her words, she found it hard to mention the last person was Ying Lun.

If she hadn’t heard correctly when she called Gu Nian last week and mentioned Lin Xin would be coming, then the person on the other end, Ying Lun, sounded ready to murder just at the mention of Lin Xin’s name. Ying Lun and Lin Xin could be considered mortal enemies.

Yet Ying Lun still hadn’t shown up, causing the three to stand at the door waiting, watching other tourists already lining up to buy tickets and enter the park.

To cheer Lin Xin up, Cheng Shiyin put Gu Nian aside and squatted on the ground with Lin Xin, playing with the little dogs brought by other tourists in line. Before Gu Nian could complain about being neglected since Cheng Shiyin had Lin Xin around, someone else came over to comfort the lonely, cold Gu Nian.

“Student president~~” Two girls with coquettish voices gave Gu Nian a flirty look and sashayed over, flaunting their curves as they walked up to him.

These two girls were the focus of attention wherever they appeared, not just because of their beauty—only about thirty percent of the crowd turned to look at them because of their looks. The remaining seventy percent were drawn by their daring attitude.

The water park was a place for swimsuits, so even in the ticket line, the two girls wore bold bikinis, flaunting their figures without reservation. The tickets were clipped onto their swimsuits, the only covering being a semi-transparent scarf tied around their waists.

The two girls acted as if they’d rehearsed their moves a thousand times, expertly lying on Gu Nian’s chest, one on each side, and drawing circles on his chest with their fingers—full of teasing intent.

Gu Nian didn’t feel neglected at all, surrounded by hotness in front and fury behind. Only Lin Xin remained squatting on the ground, keeping company with the dogs.

“Can you introduce these two beauties to me?” Cheng Shiyin stood up, one hand squeezing Gu Nian’s vulnerable waist.

Feeling the danger at his waist, Gu Nian quickly moved behind Cheng Shiyin, removing any support for the two girls.

The two off-balance individuals used their impressive core strength from years of exercise to steady themselves, and naturally struck a provocative pose, eyeing Cheng Shiyin with a conservative outfit. One of them even teased Gu Nian, saying, “So, now you like the innocent little sister?”

The woman started to say something to tease Gu Nian further but was met with a fierce glare from him, warning her not to speak. She flinched and immediately perked up, like a well-behaved quail closing her mouth obediently.

Seeing the woman stop talking, Gu Nian got the message and explained to Cheng Shiyin, “These two are former models who worked with a sponsor—this is Rose on the left and the one who spoke is Peony.”

The two women nodded in agreement, acknowledging Gu Nian’s explanation.

“Rose? Peony? Are they both flower names? Are they gardeners?” Another tweet from Lin Xin’s account.

Seeing the tweet, Cheng Shiyin, who was about to question Gu Nian, suddenly couldn’t hold back a laugh. The tension from the love triangle evaporated in an instant—Lin Xin’s mishap had thankfully saved Gu Nian from a near-disaster.

Just then, Ying Lun finally arrived. Gu Nian used the opportunity to say goodbye to the “flowers” to avoid saying too much and tripping over his words.

Unexpectedly, Rose and Peony didn’t let up. Before they left, each of them lightly grazed Gu Nian’s crotch with their fingertips. Gu Nian was annoyed at their boldness in front of his girlfriend, but his body betrayed him by getting a bit excited, thinking of the “Student Council President” needing to appear again in the garden tonight.

Lin Xin thought they had already left and glanced up to check, only to find Rose passing right by him. Due to the angle, Lin Xin caught a glimpse of Rose’s half-exposed butt under the sheer fabric.

Gu Nian waved away the two “dangerous individuals” and motioned for Ying Lun to join them.

Seeing Ying Lun, Lin Xin quickly dropped the dog and hid behind Cheng Shiyin, pretending not to be there. When Ying Lun got closer, Lin Xin finally spoke up, yelling, “I’m sorry!” so loudly that Cheng Shiyin’s ears nearly rang.

Lin Xin didn’t hear any scolding from Ying Lun as he had imagined. Instead, he cautiously opened one eye and saw a mischievous grin on Ying Lun’s lips at a 45-degree angle.

Lin Xin grew even more anxious.

Gu Nian acted as if he was blind and immediately wrapped his arms around Ying Lun, saying, “You look so happy, let’s go inside.”

“I already said, I can’t swim, and it’s that time of the month, so I can’t go in the water,” Lin Xin raised his hand and said.

“I know, Cheng Shiyin told me. We won’t force you,” Gu Nian replied. “Just stay on the shore, soak up some sun, and you can help watch our bags.” In other words, more like a third wheel.

How did Cheng Shiyin know?

Lin Xin looked at Cheng Shiyin, but she averted her gaze.

“Wait for me!” Cheng Shiyin said, then chased after Gu Nian and the others as they entered.
