When the treasure map was first used, the symbol was a treasure chest, and it clearly indicated the location of the treasure.

What does the green dot mean now?

Ruan Ning pondered for a moment, then retrieved the drone from space, and attached an invisibility device to it.

Following the location indicated on the treasure map, Ruan Ning piloted the drone toward it, flying over countless zombies, until it finally reached the green dot indicated on the treasure map.

Well, a pile of zombies.

Just by seeing it through the camera, Ruan Ning could imagine what it felt like to see so many zombies gathered together. She continued to control the drone to fly at a low altitude to observe the differences between these zombies.

Soon, Ruan Ning discovered that one of the zombies had a finger that could start a fire.

This zombie should have been a male office worker in his lifetime, with a gray computer bag on his back. He might not have a very high IQ, as he wandered around in the zombie pile in a daze, with flames occasionally coming out of his fingers, and he would grill his companions.

Apparently, the green light represented mutation?

According to the plot of the novel, this kind of zombie has a crystal core in its head, which can awaken special powers after being eaten.

Ruan Ning was interested in awakening superpowers, but she had no idea about taking the heads of enemy generals in the midst of a huge army. With her current abilities, entering a zombie group would be like delivering food.

What did the green dot on the treasure map mean?

Was it a warning to her to stay away, or was it a request for her to kill the mutated zombies?

No matter what it meant, Ruan Ning decided to act according to the original plan first.

After three instant flashes, she arrived at the rooftop 1,500 meters away. This building was much shorter than the one she had seen yesterday, with only thirteen floors in total. Downstairs was a chain hotel.

Ruan Ning had used a drone to scout the area this morning. She found that the rooftop door was closed.

After blocking the door with heavy objects as usual, Ruan Ning took out the drone and used it to scout the surrounding environment.

Compared to the commercial plaza, the zombies here were half as rare. She didn’t know the hotel downstairs’s situation, but there weren’t that many zombies on the street.

There were no other green dots on the treasure map, probably because it was the early days of the apocalypse, so there weren’t many mutated zombies.

Ruan Ning felt relieved and was about to take out the RV when a scream suddenly came from downstairs.

“Eh?” Ruan Ning was startled.

“Is there someone downstairs?”

Just as she was thinking about whether to use a drone to take a look, the noises below became unusually intense. Not only were people screaming, but there were also the ‘bang, bang, bang’ sounds of things being smashed.

Ruan Ning felt as if there were vibrations beneath her feet.

Finally, there was a loud ‘bang’. Ruan Ning felt the wall downstairs collapse.

The screaming stopped.

Ruan Ning pricked up her ears and noticed someone running to the top floor. She looked at the large sofa blocking the door, and after thinking about it, she decided to put it away.

Soon, someone from the hallway opened the door. Without time to look at Ruan Ning outside, they quickly closed the door and found something to block it.

Ruan Ning stood in the distance without moving, observing the three young people before her.
