As for the marinating seasonings, they used the ones those people snatched.

Compared to other foods, seasonings were only used a little and there was more leftover.

At dinner time, Cheng Jikuan cut a piece of fresh and steaming beef and a piece of fresh lamb shoulder, cleaned the original set of barbecue equipment, and then cut the beef and mutton into skewers.

Ruan Ning simply went over to help.

Afterward, Cheng Jikuan went to cook rice.

During this period, Ruan Ning couldn’t wait to put the skewered beef on the barbecue grill. After a while, the beef skewers exuded the sizzling aroma of barbecue. (T/N: Slurp… Hungry!!!)

Her eyes lit up: “It’s delicious! This beef is of good quality.”

Cheng Jikuan took over the barbecue task and quickly handed her another skewer.

Ruan Ning said, “You taste it first. Don’t worry about me. I’m not a polite person.”

Cheng Jikuan thought about it and took a bite himself: “It is indeed delicious.”

The aroma of barbecue continued to waft. Zhou Wu, who was still slaughtering a cow nearby, raised his hand and asked, “You two, can I have some?”

Ruan Ning smiled at him and said, “Of course, if you do a good job, we’ll leave some meat for you when we leave.”

Zhou Wu’s face suddenly lit up with joy.

They ate while grilling. Two large pieces of beef or mutton were not enough, so Cheng Jikuan cut three more pieces of meat.

After finishing the meal, Ruan Ning touched her stomach and said, “Let’s roast some more before we leave tomorrow and bring it back for Jili to try. She hasn’t eaten it for a long time, right?”

Cheng Jikuan nodded: “Okay.”

After dinner, the three people continued to work.

There were about fifteen sheep and seven cows left in the breeding farm. The amount of work required to slaughter and cook them was quite huge.

Ruan Ning was responsible for helping with the marinating and adding firewood to boil hot water.

The three of them did not rest that night. In addition to the continuous slaughtering and pickling, Cheng Jikuan also cleaned out five portions of cattle offal. Those that were too dirty and time-consuming were not used, mainly beef liver.

Ruan Ning was quite sorry. She used to order beef clams when eating hot pot.

After Cheng Jikuan threw the offal into the corner of the factory, Ruan Ning sneaked over and put some into the space.

At around five o’clock, she went to take a nap.

At about nine o’clock, Ruan Ning got up and took over the shift with Cheng Jikuan and the others.

She didn’t know how to slaughter cattle or sheep, so she simply took out the beef that had been marinated last night and cooked it according to Zhou Wu’s instructions.

Not long after, Cheng Jikuan and Zhou Wu also got up.

The three of them started working busily again.

Ruan Ning suddenly remembered the opposite hill she had seen yesterday and asked Zhou Wu, “What is that building on the hill opposite? It doesn’t look like a hotel.”

“Opposite side?” Zhou Wu recalled for a moment: “I’m not familiar with it either. I’ve only been here twice before.”

Ruan Ning thought about it and didn’t ask any more questions.

It was still raining outside, and the entire farm seemed isolated from the rest of the world.

At noon, they encountered a problem: the firewood was almost used up.
