Feng Guang gently rested her head on his chest. “It’s okay. I can handle it as long as we’re together.”

Qi Mu’s hand moved to her waist, and he whispered, “Good girl, I really want you right now.”

Her face turned crimson, and she bit her lip, softly calling his name, “Qi Mu.”

“Yes, I’m here,” he smiled.

Somehow, hearing this made Feng Guang’s shyness disappear. She felt a warm glow inside, as if no matter the danger, he would always be there to protect her from the storm.

“I know.” Her sudden bold confession made him chuckle softly, and his eyes were filled with warmth. He slowly replied, “Feng Guang, I love you.”

Love was stronger than affection and came with a stronger possessiveness.

Feng Guang finally heard these three words but didn’t expect them in this setting. She glanced around, saw no one paying attention to their corner, and boldly embraced him. But she quickly pulled away. Qi Mu wasn’t satisfied with just that. He took her hand and led her to a darker, more secluded corner where the moonlight was blocked by tall trees. He pushed her against the wall, kissed her fiercely, and his hand moved under her skirt.

There was always a chance someone might pass by, making Feng Guang’s actions even more nervous yet filled with instinctive shyness and desire. Her rational mind told her to be reserved, but her body craved his possession, creating a conflict that only drove him to demand more from her.

Xia Chao searched around but couldn’t find his daughter. He saw the matriarch of the Xiao family standing at the entrance of the hall and asked, “Has the matriarch seen Feng Guang?”

The matriarch forced a smile and said, “Young Master Mu noticed Miss Xia was feeling too stifled in the hall, so he took her outside for a walk. Lord Xia needn’t worry.”

Having observed her son closely, the matriarch had indeed noticed the young couple’s actions. Seeing Qi Mu lead Feng Guang into a dark corner, she, having been young herself, could guess what might happen.
