“It doesn’t matter,” Chen Yu replied calmly. “I’ve already confirmed that you no longer have any intention of destroying the universe. So, whether or not I complete my mission… what difference does it make?”

Chen Yu’s smile was disarmingly charming. “And why do you think I’d agree to that?”

“If you do…” Feng Guang glanced at Xu Wang. Seeing him nod helplessly, she turned back to Chen Yu and said, “Then every soldier here today will get to live.”

“That is… quite the irresistible offer.”

“So, do you agree?”

Chen Yu gave a graceful smile. “I never say no to a beautiful woman’s request.”

A chill crept up Feng Guang’s back. She quickly said, “Then thank you. Xu Wang, let’s go.”

Xu Wang gave Chen Yu a final, warning glance before wrapping his arm around Feng Guang’s waist. In the blink of an eye, the two of them vanished from the battlefield. Time, which had been frozen, began to flow once again.

Artillery shells slammed into the ground. The soldiers, scrambling to defend themselves, looked up in confusion as the insect swarm suddenly flew off. Stunned, they had no idea what was going on.

Nan Xiaoxiao, still frantically searching for Feng Guang, was finally caught by a furious Yan Yu. The soldiers, now coming to their senses, began helping the wounded back to the ship. All the bodyguards quickly gathered around Chen Yu.
