However, normally, the system wouldn’t answer such a boring question.
Feng Guang asked, “So how did you spend your time during your amnesia?”
“Sometimes, I would count how many birds flew across the sky. Other times, I would sit by the door and watch the people passing by. I stayed in this house, and no one chased me away.” Seeing Feng Guang’s expression soften, he smiled and added, “I wasn’t bored. Doing these things is quite interesting, so there’s no need for you to feel sorry for me.”
“I’m not feeling sorry for you!” she retorted, crossing her arms and huffing in a rather spoiled manner.
An Yi’s gaze was warm and gentle, as if he had already seen through her insincerity, and it made one feel that no matter how willful or spoiled she was, he would unconditionally tolerate her.
Under his gentle gaze, Feng Guang felt a bit uncomfortable. Being seen through wasn’t exactly something one enjoyed, so she awkwardly cleared her throat and decided to change the subject. “Our filming equipment broke down. We probably won’t be able to shoot tomorrow. That means Sister Hanhan won’t need to stay with me to film, so she’ll have time. How about I ask her to take you to the police station tomorrow? Don’t worry, she’s my manager and a very good person.”
“She’s bullying you.”
“What?” She was confused. “Sister Hanhan hasn’t bullied me.”
“I saw it.” An Yi raised his hand, his cool palm resting gently on her smooth forehead. “She’s not nice to you.”
Feng Guang paused for a moment. “What did you see? I don’t understand.”
He simply persisted, saying, “She’s bullying you.”
“Well… no matter what misunderstanding you have, I can assure you that Sister Hanhan hasn’t bullied me.” She thought for a moment and then added, “Don’t let her tough exterior fool you, she’s a nice person.”
“She won’t be willing.”
“Sigh… I find talking to you exhausting. So many things I just don’t understand. What is it that she wouldn’t be willing to do?”
An Yi, with his hand still on her forehead, began fixing her slightly messy hair, ruffled by the wind. The action seemed so natural that to an outsider, there was nothing unusual about it. But Feng Guang didn’t like such intimate gestures with people she wasn’t familiar with, so after a brief pause, she stepped back.
An Yi’s eyes showed a hint of hurt. He withdrew his hand and spoke softly, “I think… she’s afraid of me.”
“You’re so good-looking, who would be afraid of you?” She tilted her head in confusion. A man as handsome as him, it wouldn’t be surprising if he had a group of girls chasing after him. So how could anyone be afraid of him?
He smiled faintly. “Only you aren’t afraid of me.”
This was something that truly pleased him.
Feng Guang thought he was just saying those things because he didn’t want to go to the police station. “You don’t want to go to the police station, do you? But it might be a bit tricky. You’ve lost your memory, and you don’t have anything on you that proves your identity.”
“It’s okay.” He smiled gently and said, “It’s enough for me to be here, talking with Feng Guang.”
She suddenly felt a great deal of pressure because she didn’t have the confidence to make him genuinely happy. It was like when an elder has overly high expectations of you, and you can’t always guarantee you’ll meet their standards.
Just as Feng Guang didn’t know how to respond, a melodious voice rang out, “Didn’t you say you were going to change clothes? Why are you standing here by yourself?”
“I’m not by myself. I’m talking to someone.” Feng Guang relaxed a little upon seeing Liu Han.
