On this particular weekend, the airport was bustling with people. Feng Guang, dragging her suitcase, found a seat and sat down. Her flight wouldn’t board for another half hour. She was irritated that Xia Tian hadn’t told her she was going abroad and, because of that, hadn’t come to see her off. Feng Guang shrugged it off. She had always spoiled Xia Tian.
Sitting there, bored, she checked her phone for the time when a deep voice spoke from beside her. “Miss Xia.”
Shen Wuyan lowered the magazine in his hands and raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised.
Feng Guang fell silent for a moment, then said with a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth, “What are you doing here?”
“Business trip,” Shen Wuyan replied, noticing the ticket in her hand. “Are you heading to the Netherlands too?”
Shen Wuyan was a true workaholic. Though he held a high position, he preferred to handle everything himself because of his strictness and unwillingness to tolerate mistakes—at least when it came to big business deals. Otherwise, how would he have time to play games and flirt with Zhao Xiaolu?
“I heard the flowers in the Netherlands are beautiful this time of year. I thought I’d go see them,” Feng Guang said, speaking the truth.
Shen Wuyan gave a slight smirk. “It seems that after breaking off the engagement with me, Miss Xia is fully prepared to relax. I, on the other hand, haven’t had such luxury. After that press conference, I’ve earned quite the reputation as a heartless man and a scoundrel.”
“Are you blaming me?” Feng Guang smiled carelessly. “You were the one who wanted to break off the engagement. I agreed to it, didn’t I? I haven’t done anything that goes against our agreement.”
“I just feel like it’s a little unfair. You’ve moved on to someone else, haven’t you?”
Thinking of Ou Xun, Feng Guang’s smile froze for a moment. “Did I hear you correctly? The man who’s caused countless companies to go bankrupt is now lecturing me about fairness?”
Shen Wuyan only smiled at her sarcasm, then said, “You’ve broken up with him.”
“…Why does it matter to you?”
“As expected,” he said, ignoring her defensive expression, “your face is always so easy to read. I’ve looked into him. Apart from his identity and address, I couldn’t find anything else. He’s a dangerous person.”
“No matter how dangerous he is, he won’t harm me.”
“Oh? Then why did you break up with him?”
Feng Guang remained silent.
“Tsk,” Shen Wuyan said, shaking his head in resignation. “Look at you. Every time you don’t want to talk, you turn your head to the side, keep quiet, and just give people the cold shoulder.”
Feng Guang coldly responded, “Don’t act like you know me so well. If you have time, why not think about how to win over Zhao Xiaolu?”
“Xiaolu…” Shen Wuyan’s eyes gleamed with determination. “She will be mine sooner or later.”
“Well, well, Mr. Shen, you sure are confident.”
“Xia Fengguang,” Shen Wuyan suddenly called her name. “Do you know what my first impression of you was when I saw you?”
At the time, she must have been very young. Feng Guang pursed her lips. “I don’t want to know.”
“Back then, I thought, ‘This little girl is so cute, even more adorable than the dolls the girls in class carry.’” Ignoring her refusal, he continued, “I thought to myself if only I had such a cute little sister.”
Feng Guang sighed in relief.
Shen Wuyan seemed to read her thoughts and scoffed. “You didn’t think I was going to say that I fell in love with you at first sight, did you? Xia Fengguang, you were only four years old back then, and I was already seventeen. Do you think a normal person would be attracted to a little girl?”
