Alhough Risa’s character and behavior had always been unpleasant, she really appeared to be in agony. A few kind-hearted ladies moved to help her.

“Get away, all of you!” Risa flung her arms for fear of anyone coming near her.

She could not hold it in much longer. Was she really going to disgrace herself here?

She was a princess! So noble! How could this happen?!

“Risa! Don’t talk nonsense! How do we know this isn’t just another of your tricks to get my attention? Karina is kind and innocent. How could she possibly drug you?” Grady did not believe Risa at all.

In the past, she had done far too many outrageous things in pursuit of him. She had also constantly tormented Freya, worsening her health to the point where she hadn’t even awakened her holy power!

“Hahaha! Kind and innocent? What a joke!” Risa gritted her teeth. Enduring the pain, she charged forward. She wanted to push Karina off the boat.

Since she was going to be humiliated today anyway, she would make sure no one else had a good time either!

“Ah! Help!” Karina ‘panicked,’ tears streaming down her face as she collapsed onto the deck, as if frozen in terror by Risa’s madness.

“Karina!” Grady rushed over to protect her.

Just as Risa touched Karina, Grady shoved her back forcefully.

The severe abdominal pain combined with the shove sent Risa crashing onto the deck. The fall was accompanied by a series of loud continuous sounds.

An indescribable, subtle odor began to spread.

Risa was overwhelmed with shame and anger. The people around her, while sympathizing with her misfortune, also wore expressions that were difficult to describe.

Freya coughed twice, feeling slightly shocked. She had originally been thinking of how to stir up some conflict to create a distraction for her escape. She never imagined that without her doing anything, things had already escalated this far?!

Freya’s coughing drew Risa’s attention.

Seeing Freya standing on the side, aloof and fragile as ever, Risa recalled that Freya had just spoken up for Karina. She immediately became convinced that Freya was an accomplice and that she was not really sick but rather pretending to be ill while orchestrating Karina’s actions!

Anyway, she had already reached the point of no return. Ignoring the unpleasant odor on her body, Risa crawled towards Freya and roared, “It was you! You instructed Karina, didn’t you?! You’ll both die horrible deaths!”

“I… cough, cough, cough…” Freya coughed violently, her face full of disbelief. “How could I… cough, cough, cough!”

In her fit of rage and despair, a mouthful of bright red blood splattered onto the light wooden deck. Paired with her pale complexion, the sight was extremely tragic.

“It is you! Don’t you deny it, you slut! You clearly don’t love my cousin! What right do you have to marry him?!” Risa lunged forward and shook Freya’s shoulders with all her might.

Seeing this absurd scene, the other ladies were stunned.

Risa’s violent shaking forced Freya backward step by step until she was only a step away from falling over the edge of the boat.

Grady and Karina, who were still hugging each other, panicked.

One stopped acting, the other stopped comforting. They both dashed towards Freya to save her.

This was an important tool!

She still needed to awaken holy power! She absolutely could not die!

“Your Highness!” the decoy Lita cried out anxiously.

“My concubine!” Grady shouted with heart-wrenching intensity.

“Your Highness!” Karina screamed even more desperately than Grady.

Karina was the first to grab hold of Freya’s sleeve.

Seeing how loyally Karina tried to protect her master, Risa became even more certain of her suspicions. They were in cahoots! Drawing on some unknown reserve of strength, she threw her full weight, even risking her own life, to push the two of them.

“Look out!” Grady saw the three tangled together and on the verge of falling. He also reached out to grab Freya’s sleeve.

Freya’s sleeve slipped imperceptibly through Grady’s fingers.

Then…

Plop— Plop—

All three fell into the water.

A perfect miss.

Karina could not swim!

Seeing his beloved fall into water, Grady immediately dove in to rescue her.

On the shore, Lant had been watching everything closely. The moment Freya fell, he sprinted towards the boat.

Grady, being nearby, pulled Karina out of the water first and shouted to the accompanying guards, “Quick! Save her!”

The guards hurriedly dove in to rescue Princess Risa, whom no one had bothered to save.

Freya deliberately sank deep. She and Lant exchanged a meaningful glance. They nodded to each other. Using magical items, she vanished from the bottom of the lake, while Lant calmly took out the radish decoy from his space and put on an anxious expression. He carried “Freya” back onto the boat.

Risa, who had originally been prepared to die, only realized the terror of drowning once she was actually in the water. She clung to the guard knight, struggling desperately and gasping for breath.

Most ironic of all, Freya, the frailest of them all, was the last to be rescued. She was already unconscious.

Lant’s always composed and calm expression showed anxiety for the first time. “Freya!”

Grady felt unhappy when he heard Lant’s improper address of Freya. But he quickly ignored it because Freya’s life was clearly more important at the moment.

“Lita” wept bitterly, kneeling beside “Freya.”

“What are you all standing there for?! Save the princess!” Grady roared in agitation.

This was the Saintess! How could the Saintess die before awakening?!

Lant stepped forward to perform CPR, but Grady grabbed his arm. “What do you think you’re doing to my concubine?”

For the first time, Lant’s eyes turned fierce as he glared at him. “Please do not hinder me from saving her life, Your Highness.”

Intimidated by Lant’s aura, Grady unconsciously let go. He watched with a somewhat constricted heart as a knight performed CPR on his concubine.

After all, Karina was standing right there watching. He could not very well do anything to another woman in front of her, even if that woman was his own concubine.

The surrounding ladies whispered among themselves.

So it wasn’t just the four of them entangled in this relationship? There were actually five people?

Three women and two men… The palace was certainly going to get lively from now on…
