[QTC] MBDT Chapter 529

In the middle of the night, Bei Nianjin was woken up by the itching on her face.

She sat up and found the box of ointment from the package. Looking at the empty ointment, she felt a little irritable.

So itchy, so itchy!

Bei Nianjin wanted to scratch her face, but thinking about the person she would see in a few hours, she held it back.

“Fu Dong.” Bei Nianjin woke up the maid who was at the door.

Fu Dong opened her eyes in a daze and saw Bei Nianjin’s gloomy face, staring at her coldly, which was almost scaring her to death.

“Miss, what’s wrong?”

“Do you still have any ointment on you?” Bei Nianjin couldn’t bear the itchiness.

Fu Dong looked at her face which was getting darker and darker. Looking carefully, she could vaguely see something swimming under the skin.

She didn’t dare to look at her face and said to her, “This slave will go and look for it.”

Fu Dong went to dig through the package and finally found a medicine box.

“Miss, there is only an empty box.” Fu Dong looked at her helplessly.

Bei Nianjin didn’t believe it and took the medicine box from her hand. It was indeed empty, but she didn’t give up and scraped it carefully with her fingers. It just gave her a thin layer.

She couldn’t wait to rub the little ointment that she dug out onto her face. Then, her whole face immediately felt comfortable.

Bei Nianjin looked at Fu Dong, “Fu Dong, is there something wrong with my face?”

She always felt that there was something wrong with her face, but apart from the occasional itching, she didn’t notice anything.

Fu Dong’s heart skipped a beat. She said with a smile on her face: “How could there be a problem? Miss’s face has always been intact.”

“But, I’ve been itching lately.” Bei Nianjin frowned.

“Could it be that the residual poison from the bee sting last time was not cleared away, which caused this?” Fu Dong guessed.

“Maybe.” Bei Nianjin could only think so.

The next morning, Bei Nianjin got up early and started dressing up.

When she saw her face in the mirror, she couldn’t help but say in surprise: “Fu Dong, look at my face. It has become smooth and white.”

Fu Dong didn’t dare to look at her face at first, but after hearing her words, she moved her gaze to her face. A flash of surprise flashed in his eyes.

Her complexion changed from the dark green before, but now her whole face was radiant. Her skin was as white and smooth as a shelled egg, delicate and fair.

“Miss’s face has always been fair and smooth, but today it’s even more radiant than before. It’s simply radiant.” Fu Dong’s words were joking, but her heart was trembling.

Such an abnormal look made her feel horrified just thinking about it.

Bei Nianjin was in a good mood and said with a smile, “You are the only one with a sweet mouth.”

Fu Dong was about to put makeup on her, but Bei Nianjin raised her hand to stop her, “No need to apply powder, just draw a flower pattern on the forehead.”

“Good.”

After Bei Nianjin finished dressing up, Fu Dong looked at the charming woman in front of her. Any man who saw her would be moved by her.

When her eyes wandered to the face that was even more beautiful than before, Fu Dong felt trembling in her heart.

Bei Nianjin looked at herself in the mirror and was very satisfied.

“Let’s go.”

Fu Dong put the veil on her face. The two of them left the inn and went straight to the south gate, which was the only place where the Emperor would pass today.

The main street of the South City Gate had been blocked by a group of guards. All the people were standing on both sides of the street. As the gongs and drums sounded, a huge group of guards was coming toward the end of the street.

Bei Nianjin watched as she got closer and closer to the imperial carriage. Her heart skipped a beat.

I’ll see him soon, very soon.
