[QTC] MBDT Chapter 218

Bei Yutang went to the Emperor’s carriage under the envious eyes of all the concubines.

“I, this concubine, come to see the Emperor.”

“No courtesy.”

Nan Shaotian patted the seat beside him and motioned for her to sit over.

Bei Yutang naturally did not dare to disobey and sat down. The royal carriage was just the same, very spacious. It would not be cramped even if a few more people came.

Nan Shaotian opened the food box on the coffee table, and a scent wafted out.

“You haven’t eaten yet. Eat something first.”

Bei Yutang glanced at the crystal-clear steamed dumplings on the coffee table. They were very fragrant and beautiful, but she had no appetite now. She doesn’t want to eat everything now and just wants to sleep.

“Your Majesty, can I not eat it?” Bei Yutang asked coquettishly.

Nan Shaotian did not force it and closed the food box again, “Okay, you will eat when you’re hungry.”

Bei Yutang could not help but nod, covering her mouth and yawning from time to time.

“If you’re sleepy, sleep for a while. I’ll wake you up when we get there.” Nan Shaotian said dotingly.

“Yes.” Bei Yutang nodded obediently.

After saying that, she leaned on the side and fell asleep. The carriage shook like a cradle. Bei Yutang thought that she would not be able to sleep, but she did not expect that she would soon fall asleep.

Nan Shaotian saw her swaying with the carriage. He did not know when she was swaying, and she almost fell down. Nan Shaotian leaned her head against his and slept directly on his lap.

He picked up a piece of stall from the side and covered her body.

In fact, when he touched Bei Yutang, Bei Yutang was awakened. But she did not open her eyes and continued to pretend to be asleep, wanting to see what he was going to do.

Then, she felt herself leaning toward him, and his legs were used as pillows for her.

Nan Shaotian ordered the people outside the car: “Drive more carefully.”

“Yes.”

Just through the small gap in the curtain, San Dezi saw Concubine Chen sleeping in the Emperor’s arms.

Oh, this Concubine Chen is really amazing.

What a pity! She was destined to miss the throne, and her life might not be saved.

One is a country, and the other is a beauty.

Which one is more important or less important is self-evident in the eyes of the Emperor.

Alas, what a pity for such a beautiful woman. He only hoped that the Emperor would see his heart clearly earlier and not do something he would regret for the rest of his life.

After Bei Yutang felt him move her to his side, she made no other moves. While pretending to sleep, she really fell asleep.

An hour later, Bei Yutang was woken up by Nan Shaotian.

“Eat something first. When you are full, if you want to sleep, then go to sleep.”

There were two bowls of porridge on the coffee table, as well as bite-sized dumplings and side dishes. She had to say that she was really hungry.

“Good.”

The two of them ate a simple meal. After finishing a bowl of porridge, Bei Yutang felt that her whole body had become warm.

“Do you want to sleep?” Nan Shaotian asked.

Bei Yutang shook her head, “No. I want to see the scenery outside.”

As she said that, she opened the carriage’s curtain with her hand and saw a whole green field. Normally, there would have been farmers working in this field, but because of the Emperor’s trip, this area was all cleared.

The mountains in the distance and the houses and countryside nearby outline a beautiful landscape and pastoral picture.

Her hometown is also so beautiful, but it’s a pity, she can’t see it now.
