The waitress’s neck shrank, as if frightened by her gaze. She trembled and nodded slightly.
“Okay, very good. Come here.” Bei Yutang said to her.
The waitress looked at her timidly and said, “Sister, what are you going to do?”
Bei Yutang saw her hesitate, a sneer curled up at the corner of his lips. She stepped forward and slapped her twice in the face.
The sound of the slaps startled the waitress and the other diners present.
The restaurant’s manager, foreman, and others were stopped by Bai Jun and his group. The manager knew that they were powerful figures, and their blocking of their way clearly indicated that the two guests were traveling together.
If their waitress had offended someone like that, their restaurant might be doomed.
The manager hurriedly called the boss and told him what had happened.
The boss, terrified, broke out in a cold sweat and hurried back from his suburban estate.
The little white rabbit waitress covered her face, looking at her with a look of grievance, letting out a soft sob.
This audible sob, more powerful than silence, truly made the surrounding diners sympathize with her.
“How could you be so rude?” The others exclaimed.
Si Chen noticed blisters forming on her burned skin. His eyes dimmed, and he whispered in her ear, “Your health is more important. We’ll deal with this later.”
Bei Yutang finally nodded, noticing his concern.
They wanted to leave, but the others stopped them.
“You just want to walk away like this?” The first to speak up was a middle-aged customer, the man who had earlier spoken up for the little white rabbit waitress.
Si Chen uttered only two words: “Get out of here.”
The middle-aged man was a little frightened and instinctively tried to push away, but when he saw the little white rabbit waitress covering her face and looking at him pitifully, and then he noticed that many people behind him were siding with him, he finally gritted his teeth and stood still, determined not to let them leave.
Si Chen wasn’t one for talk; he was more about action than words.
Bai Jun and his companions, having brought their belongings, were about to head over when they saw the scene and stopped, ready to watch the excitement unfold.
“These people are doomed.” A certain young man gloated.
“That’s right.”
“If they offend the Great Devil Si Chen, they’ll be in big trouble.”
In their compound, this group of people, who had grown up together, feared no one, but they feared the Great Devil Si Chen. He was truly a ruthless man, and he’d beat you up until you didn’t even recognize your parents.
If anyone dared to disobey, he’d beat them until they were convinced. Sometimes, not beating them was even more terrifying, because he would make you suffer to the point of wanting death.
Si Chen stepped forward.
The man looked at him in horror. “What do you want to do?”
Si Chen didn’t say anything, but his actions proved his intention. He reached out and threw the man over his shoulder, sending him to the ground.
The man curled up in pain, whimpering.
This scene happened so quickly, almost in the blink of an eye.
Everyone around was stunned, standing still, not daring to block their path.
They thought time had simply flown by, but unexpectedly, the overbearing man stopped and addressed the crowd, “To those who stand here today, preventing us from leaving, if anything happens to my wife, you will pay the price for your foolish kindness.”
