[QTC] MBDT Chapter 1604

“Quick, quick, take pictures. Oh my god, this scene is so terrifying. It’s like watching a horror movie.”

A group of people enthusiastically took photos and videos, and the story spread throughout their circle.

A sweet-looking waitress arrived with soup. When she reached Bei Yutang’s table, she immediately noticed Si Chen. Her eyes were filled with envy as she watched him gently wipe the sauce from the corner of the woman’s lips.

She took a step forward and suddenly fell forward, sending the scalding soup cascading directly into Bei Yutang’s face.

The scene was so sudden; it caught everyone off guard.

Bei Yutang, startled, immediately turned sideways, avoiding the danger of the scalding soup splashing onto her face, but most of her body was still drenched in it.

“Hiss.” Bei Yutang gasped.

It was summer, and she was wearing light clothing. The thin fabric couldn’t shield her from the scalding broth, and her arms, exposed outside, were already reddened.

The waiter, panicked, eyes red, said to the sullen Si Chen, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.”

Si Chen pushed aside the woman blocking his way and strode toward Bei Yutang.

Seeing her skin flush, his whole face darkened.

The waitress’s eyes were red, tears streaming down her face.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to do that. If something hadn’t tripped me, I wouldn’t have… I’m so sorry, so sorry.”

This sudden scene happened so quickly that it took a while for those around them to react, just in time to hear these words.

A woman nearby said, “They were the only ones over there. Something tripped her. Could it have been that woman’s foot?”

The waiter moved forward to help, attempting to atone for her mistake. However, as she approached, she knocked over a nearby shelf, sending her careening toward Bei Yutang and the others.

Si Chen reacted quickly, blocking the shelf with one arm to avoid being hit.

The shelf didn’t fall, but the items on it did, tumbling down. Si Chen used his body to block the impact, preventing Bei Yutang from falling.

The waitress panicked even more, tears streaming down her face, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean it.”

Bei Yutang and Si Chen ignored her, looking at each other with concern. They asked in unison, “How are you?”

They were stunned for a moment.

Si Chen said, “I’m fine. Let’s go to the hospital now.”

Bei Yutang nodded. Her burns needed attention.

The two of them stood up, preparing to leave, when the weeping waitress stepped forward, once again blocking their path. Her eyes were red.

She said with a guilty look on her face, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I, I can take responsibility.”

Si Chen said coldly, “Get out of the way.”

The waitress paused, her expression frozen, as if she were standing there in a daze. She even looked at him with a look of resentment and grievance.

Bei Yutang felt pain all over her body. Looking at the person blocking their path, she was speechless. “Please move aside.”

The waiter remained motionless, seemingly oblivious to their words.

Si Chen saw Tang’er frowning in pain and carefully supported her as they walked out. In the narrow aisle, with such a person standing there, it was inevitable that they would collide, and the waiter was knocked to the ground with a thud.
