Chen Feifeng simply ignored the jade and turned to check on the last piece, only to find it blocked by Bei Yutang, preventing him from peering.

Chen Feifeng glanced at it and then turned his head, unconcerned.

Because he believed that he was a sure winner in this competition.

Chen Feifeng casually watched the jade being cut out, like a spectator, unconcerned about his potential loss.

Soon, the outermost layer of green skin was peeled away, revealing the jade within. The first cut revealed scrap, leaving everyone around disappointed. 

The jade master remained unfazed and began his second, steady cut.

The second cut also revealed scrap.

Everyone now felt the jade was in jeopardy. Fortunately, it was large enough that even if only a piece of fine jade remained at the end, it wouldn’t be a loss.

Third cut, fourth cut…

After the cut, everyone agreed that it was just scrap.

“It’s scrap.”

“This piece of jade is a loss.”

“It’s useless. It’s already cut right to the center.”

The surrounding chatter had already sealed the jade’s fate.

Lin Wan’er, seeing this, beamed with the brightest smile she could muster. She looked at Bei Yutang.

“Yutang, it looks like Heaven won’t help you this time. Your finger divination isn’t working.”

Besides Bei Yutang, there was another person present who knew the jade’s condition: Chen Feifeng.

As a rival, Chen Feifeng naturally wouldn’t remind the jade master how to cut to reveal the precious gem hidden beneath the scraps.

The jade master stopped at the end and said to Bei Yutang, “This piece is scrap. It’s worthless.”

Lin Wan’er smiled smugly at this, barely concealing the deep pride in her eyes.

Bei Yutang stepped forward and said to the jade master, “Cut it open from here and see.”

Chen Feifeng had been nonchalant at first, but when he heard Bei Yutang’s words and looked in the direction of her finger, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes. He clearly hadn’t expected her to find the right direction.

Did she figure it out? 

Or was it just a coincidence?

Chen Feifeng thought about these two possibilities, but he finally decided that it was the latter: she had stumbled upon the right one.

Lin Wan’er said, “Yutang, you still won’t give up. This is already a waste. Even if you chop it into pieces, it’s useless.”

Bei Yutang suddenly raised her head, her eyes cold and her tone chilling. 

“It’s my stuff. I can cut it however I want. What’s it to you?”

Lin Wan’er choked, overwhelmed by her sudden burst of momentum.

After a long pause, Lin Wan’er came back to her senses, feeling a burning pain on her face.

Bei Yutang, you deserve to die.

Lin Wan’er was furious, but she suppressed her anger.

I’ll let you act arrogantly now. When you lose, I’ll show you how I’ll humiliate you.

Lin Wan’er’s eyes darted back and forth over Bei Yutang’s body, already wanting to take something from her.

Lin Wan’er stared at Bei Yutang’s chest, her eyes flashing with malice.

We’ll take that thing from her later, and see how she manages to stay in this circle.

Bei Yutang naturally noticed the malicious look Lin Wan’er was casting, but she ignored it. Her gaze remained fixed on the jade, wary of Chen Feifeng’s advance glimpse of her other rough jade.
