The three beauties who were named were so frightened that their faces turned pale after hearing this.

“Let’s go.”

The other beauties in the Beauty Pavilion watched the three of them leave. After they walked away, they wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads unconsciously.

In the late afternoon, many of the women in the pavilion stared at the door. Gesang glanced at the door from time to time. It was quiet there, and no one entered until dark.

Bei Yutang was not sure, but based on her judgment, they would most likely die.

After they fell asleep, the three beauties still hadn’t returned.

The next morning, when the palace maids arrived to deliver the meal, Gesang couldn’t help but ask, “Sister, how are the three beauties who served the King yesterday doing now?”

The maid didn’t respond.

Bei Yutang stood up, removed the bracelet from her wrist, and placed it in the maid’s hand. With a smile, she asked, “I hope you’ll give me some advice.”

The maid glanced at the bracelet and then silently put it away. She lowered her voice, “As soon as the three beauties entered the palace, they somehow angered the King and were executed that very night.”

As for how they were executed, the maid didn’t specify, as doing so would only cause them to worry more.

After she finished speaking, the maid hurried away.

Gesang slumped dejectedly in a chair, as if all her life had been drained from her. After a long pause, she murmured softly, “Yutang, I’m really scared.”

No matter how much others said about this kind of thing, it was useless; they could only adjust on their own.

“Eat.”

Gesang shook her head.

“I can’t eat.”

Gesang stared at her speechlessly, feeling that what she said made sense.

Over the next two weeks, many beauties left, some returning, while others were never to be seen again.

Bei Yutang had thought that she would be easily chosen, but the reality was the opposite.

No matter how the nanny tried to choose, she hadn’t been chosen. This led her to seriously suspect that perhaps her beauty had instilled pity in the nanny, making her reluctant to let her die.

Three months was already a short time, and wasting it any longer was definitely not a good idea.
