With a quick step, Zhou Hao strode toward the door, followed by several eunuchs and maids from his palace. They all knelt down in unison when Mu Yunge appeared.
Zi Ling clenched her fists tightly before quickly kneeling as well.
As soon as Zhou Hao stepped out of the main hall, he saw Mu Yunge, who was dressed up like a beautiful little dumpling.
“Ninth Princess, you’ve come?”
Zhou Hao originally wanted to call her ‘Xiao Jiu’, but considering his own status, he changed his address.
Mu Yunge smiled and nodded at him, then said unhappily, “Brother Hao never comes to play with me, so I had to come by myself!”
Hearing this, Zhou Hao apologized faintly, but inwardly, he was very happy about her arrival.
“I’m very busy with my studies and couldn’t get away. Please forgive me, Ninth Princess.” Zhou Hao said.
Hearing this reason, Mu Yunge snorted, “You just don’t want to come and play with me! Where do you get so much homework to do?”
Zhou Hao pursed his lips and lowered his head.
At this moment, Mu Yunge suddenly smiled and said, “But it’s alright. Who told me to be so generous? Look what I brought you!”
After saying that, Mu Yunge looked at a palace maid beside her.
The palace maid immediately handed over a food box and opened it.
Seeing the exquisite pastries inside, Zhou Hao felt a warmth in his heart: “Thank you, Ninth Princess.”
Then, Mu Yunge walked into Zhou Hao’s palace.
Seeing Zi Ling kneeling on the ground, Mu Yunge scoffed inwardly, then ignored her and looked at the food box on the table.
“Eh? Brother Hao, who made these pastries?”
Hearing Mu Yunge’s question, Zhou Hao glanced at Zi Ling and said indifferently, “The kitchen sent them over earlier.”
Upon hearing this, Mu Yunge immediately said, “Then you don’t need to eat them. Give them to the servants. Next time you want pastries, just tell me, and I’ll bring them to you. I guarantee they’ll be better than this!”
Hearing this, Zhou Hao nodded.
At this moment, Zi Ling’s fingernails were already embedded in her flesh.
So what if she’s a princess?!
When Zhou Hao ascends the throne, I’ll make her pay!
Then, Mu Yunge had her maid bring out the snacks she had brought, saying, “Brother Hao, please eat!”
Zhou Hao nodded, then reached out and picked up a pastry to eat.
Yan Fei, who was standing to the side, was surprised that Mu Yunge was so kind to the Fourth Prince. He felt a little uncomfortable.
At this moment, Mu Yunge turned to another eunuch carrying something and said, “By the way, I heard that the writing set I gave you last time was broken by the Second Prince and the others. I brought you a new set.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the eunuch immediately placed the new writing set in front of Zhou Hao.
Seeing this, Zhou Hao’s indifferent eyes finally softened: “Thank you, Ninth Princess.”
“You’re welcome. Mother has asked me to go back for lunch, so I’ll be going now.” Mu Yunge said after a moment.
Zhou Hao nodded and then got up to see her off.
At that moment, Mu Yunge reached out her hand to a eunuch who was two heads taller than her.
The young eunuch immediately took her hand and led her outside.
Seeing this, a hint of displeasure flashed in Zhou Hao’s eyes. Why was Xiao Jiu’er being led by a eunuch?
Thinking of this, Zhou Hao couldn’t help but step forward and say, “Ninth Princess, let me see you off.”
Hearing this, Mu Yunge was somewhat surprised, but still happily smiled and said, “Okay.”
Just then, Zhou Hao suddenly stepped forward and pulled her hand: “Let me hold your hand.”
Upon hearing this, Mu Yunge immediately grabbed Yan Fei’s hand and said, “It’s enough that Xiao Xi is holding my hand.”
After she finished speaking, Zhou Hao’s arm stiffened, and then he gave Yan Fei a cold, secret glance.
