Arc 3 - The Heroine's Stunning Stepmother: The Princess Gave Birth To A Little Prince (1)

After ten months, Qing Lian gave birth to a little girl.

She was in her twenties and had always been in good health, with no illness, and her pregnancy had looked good since she became pregnant, so this birth went smoothly.

During the confinement period, Su Yi went to see her once.

Seeing the little baby sleeping quietly in the cradle, thinking of Mao Tuan’s immature personality, she couldn’t help but feel a little envious of Qing Lian’s daughter.

In the last world, she gave birth to two children, a boy and a girl. However, after a lifetime, the black charcoal has been in deep sleep ever since. It seems that the experiences she had in the human world are not easy for a young demon like her to get over.

Su Yi did not disturb her, so this time, she only planned to let Mao Tuan come out to experience it.

There was only a one or two month difference in pregnancy between her and Qing Lian. So, not long after Qing Lian finished her confinement, Su Yi went into ‘labor’.

When a woman gives birth, she has always gone through the gates of hell. In this era, it is even more so the small ones going through the gates of life, and the big ones going through the gates of death.

Back then, the late King Rui’s princess died of complications during childbirth. However, the palace concealed the truth for the sake of King Rui. Now King Rui only knows that his mother died of a disease after childbirth.

Otherwise, with his character, if he knew that his life was exchanged for the life of the late King Rui’s wife, how could he still be willing to let his princess give birth to a child for him?

The Emperor and the Empress Dowager attached great importance to Su Yi’s delivery. In addition to the midwife, several imperial doctors were waiting outside the delivery room early. There were also eunuchs in the palace who delivered news to the palace at all times.

Su Yi didn’t have to give birth to the baby herself. She used the same trick as last time, and two hours later, the baby was born.

The midwife came out happily to announce the good news, “Congratulations, Your Majesty, the Princess has given birth to a little prince!”

Before she finished her words, she felt a gust of wind passing in front of her eyes, and there was no trace of King Rui.

As for the voices of congratulations that were heard one after another in the yard, the person didn’t hear them, as King Rui was already impatient to go see the Princess.

Su Yi was lying in the layers of quilts and pillows, resting with her eyes closed.

She noticed a figure moving. She opened her eyes and saw King Rui standing by the bed, with his eyebrows tightly knitted and one hand stretched in the air.

He wanted to touch her but didn’t dare to, as if she was some delicate porcelain that would break if touched.

Su Yi moved in the quilt and waved to him.

King Rui immediately held her hand in his palm. His palms were always dry and warm, but today, his palms were sweaty. When she felt it carefully, she could feel that he was trembling a little.

Su Yi secretly reflected on herself, wondering if the two screams of pain she had just shouted out in order to make it more realistic had scared the other party.

King Rui lowered his head and put the back of her hand against his lips.

After a while, he raised his head and said in a hoarse voice, “I won’t have any more children in the future.”

Su Yi couldn’t help laughing: “Of course, you can’t have another one if you want one.”

“I don’t want anything else. I just want you.” King Rui looked at her steadily and said.

After not seeing him for a few hours, he seemed to have come to his senses and suddenly became so sweet-talking. Although Su Yi didn’t say anything, she felt very happy in her heart.

“You can’t just take care of me. We still have to be responsible for the baby that has already been born.”

She turned to look at the other people in the room, “Bring the child here for me to see.”

The wet nurse had been holding the child for a while. When King Rui came in, she wanted to hold him up to show him, but King Rui had no room for anyone else in his eyes. As soon as he came in, he went straight to the princess’s window.

She looked at the two of them, one lying and the other sitting, in such harmony that there was no way a third person could come in. Even if she was tactless, she knew that she shouldn’t go up to them at this moment.

It was not until the Princess spoke that she hurriedly held the child and walked forward.

Su Yi signaled King Rui to take it.

King Rui was instantly frozen. It took a long time before he stretched out his two hard palms and let the wet nurse carefully put the child on them.

When he touched the soft little body, he froze even more. His whole body was like a stone sculpture. He subconsciously cast a look at Su Yi for help.

Su Yi just looked at him and smiled, admiring his frightened and embarrassed look.

The wet nurse didn’t understand why, so she also laughed: “The little prince’s facial features look so much like the Princess and the King. He will definitely be a rare handsome man when he grows up.”

Several wet nurses were selected from the palace through careful selection. In addition to having clean family backgrounds, being loyal, and strong, they also had to be smart.

They could see at a glance how much King Rui valued the Princess and even put Su Yi first when speaking.

Su Yi glanced at the little baby’s red and wrinkled face. Although the facial features were indeed modeled after hers and King Rui, he did not look pretty at all.

King Rui said bluntly: “Ugly.”

The wet nurse laughed dryly twice and said to smooth things over, “Newborn babies are like this. They change every day after a few days.”

King Rui turned his eyes to Su Yi and wanted to touch her face, but his hands were not free at this time.

He looked at the sleeping baby in his hand and felt that although the little thing was small, it was very troublesome. It used to occupy the Princess’s belly, and now it was occupying his hand.

  1. Devi says:

I wonder whether or not MT would have a child in this arch. Although SY molded his body according to Rui Wang’s and her features and human data, allowing it to grow and getting old like normal human… Its soul is still MT, who’s a spirit of Reincarnation Mirror. If SY can only give birth to a demon baby because of her demon soul, despite using natural human body… What’s about MT and that “black charcoal” demon child?

    1. Ruth02 says:

She isnt actually giving birth but making illusions of doing it i believe

    2. lunaberry says:

Yeah it’s a fake pregnancy where she controls all the settings. She doesn’t want to get pregnant in these smaller realms because it feels unethical to then abandon their actual child.
