Luo Xi’s mouth twitched as she heard the constant use of the polite address. She glanced around at the many eyes sneaking glances at her and whispered, “Manager Zhang, there’s no need to be so polite. Just treat me like usual.”

Manager Zhang inwardly groaned butquickly nodded.

Someone please get this tyrant out of here. She was genuinely afraid!

As Luo Xi took a couple of steps, she suddenly turned back to Zhang Yan and the others, her lips curling into a cold smile. “Tomorrow, I don’t want to see you in front of me. Got it?”

Zhang Yan and the others turned deathly pale at once.

The earlier schadenfreude was replaced by fear.

Manager Zhang was puzzled. After Luo Xi left, she frowned at Zhang Yan. “Zhang Yan, what’s going on with you all?”

A woman who ddislikedZhang Yan said in gloating, “It’s because they were gossiping about Luo Xi, saying she dressed like that to latch onto someone powerful. They even made a bet, and Luo Xi overheard them.”

Zhang Yan shot the woman a fierce glare.

Manager Zhang’s expression immediately darkened. “You, how can you say such things!”

Zhang Yan couldn’t help but complain, “Who, who knew her backing would be this president? Manager, we were just joking, please help us. We don’t want to lose our jobs.”

The other women, with pale faces, quickly joined in pleading.

The others watched and couldn’t help but smirk at their misfortune.
