FMLRWS Chapter 660

As she was applying lipstick, a pair of strong arms suddenly wrapped around her waist. Leng Minxing looked at the beautiful face in the mirror and suddenly felt a twinge of regret. He said, “Let’s not go.”

“Huh? Why?” Luo Xi, who was now done with her makeup, was a bit confused. “Is it because there’s still work to finish? It’s okay, I don’t really want to go either.” She capped the lipstick she had just applied and turned back to say seriously.

Leng Minxing felt a pang in his chest.

This silly girl, why does she think of him in everything?

“Are you really not interested? You could at least take a look. After all, events like this don’t happen often.”

Leng Minxing smiled.

“I really don’t care much for such events. I used to encounter newly opened shopping malls all the time, and those lotteries and stuff are scams. You have to buy so much to have a chance to enter, and most of the prizes are predetermined. Outsiders can hardly win anything. I figured it out long ago. Since I probably won’t win anyway, why bother going? Isn’t it better to just accompany you?”

Luo Xi tried her best to put on an indifferent expression.

Leng Minxing chuckled and pinched her cheek. “Are you serious? Your face clearly shows you’re secretly eager to go.”

“Really, you have to believe me. I just think it’s a hassle to change out of this dress after I’ve already put it on,” Luo Xi insisted, as if afraid he wouldn’t believe her.

“Since you know these lotteries are predetermined, haven’t you thought that your husband might have prepared a big prize for you?” Leng Minxing teased.

Luo Xi froze. “Really? Is it true?”

The man only smiled without answering.

“Then you can ask Xu Guan to collect it for me, or give it to me tomorrow.” She fidgeted with her fingers in frustration.

“Our lottery requires the winner to be present and sign for it. It can’t be collected on behalf of someone else.” Leng Minxing shook his head.

“Then what should I do…” Luo Xi’s expression began to look increasingly troubled.

Seeing her distressed face, Leng Minxing finally couldn’t hold back. “Alright, I was just teasing you. I’m fine now, let’s go.”

Luo Xi: “…..” Please give me back my husband who doesn’t lie!

“If you try to deceive me again next time, I’ll be angry.” She lifted her skirt to catch up with him, speaking earnestly.

“I’m not lying to you. I really don’t want to go. But if you want, I don’t mind going with you once.” Leng Minxing wrapped his arm around her waist and said helplessly.

Luo Xi felt warmth spread in her heart but snorted coldly, “You’re smart enough.”

The shopping mall was located on the most luxurious central street in the city. By now, it was dark, but from a distance, Luo Xi could see the sea of balloons and crowds of people.

“Is this lottery event only for employees of the company, or for everyone?” Luo Xi asked Leng Minxing curiously.

“It’s different. The mall has its own lottery event, and our company has its own as well.”

Luo Xi nodded in understanding and followed Leng Minxing directly to the fifth floor of the mall via the VIP elevator.

“This floor is filled with various kinds of food. Today, all employees from our company can eat here for free,” Leng Minxing said casually.

This floor wasn’t open to public consumers, so in this luxurious space, only employees from Leng Minxing’s company were present. Even so, the floor was packed with people and very crowded.

“What’s on the upper floors?” Luo Xi asked curiously, noticing others still going up.

“An entertainment venue, and the lottery will also take place there later.”
