FMLRWS Chapter 515

“After that, his grandfather retired, and he took over the Leng family business at a young age, continuing to this day.”

“Ever since his mother passed away, the child became quite withdrawn. He rarely spoke and often disappeared for months at a time. At my age, I still worry about him. Luckily, now Xixi is here. I’ve heard that he comes home on time every day. It seems he’s grown up and learned how to take care of his family, although his personality is still a bit bad. In the future, I hope Xixi can be more patient with him,” The old lady said and wiped away her tears.

Luo Xi nodded earnestly. “Grandma, I will. You can count on me!”

“Mom, you’ve been out for so long. The weather is cooler at night during this period. You are not in good health, so you should head back first. We’ll stay here with Xixi,” the Second Madam stepped forward and suggested.

The old lady wanted to wait for her grandson to say goodbye, but she realized her age made it difficult to sit for long periods. She didn’t force it and nodded. She cast an apologetic look at Luo Xi and said, “My old bones are not working, Xixi. Tomorrow, Grandma will come back to see you. Just rest and don’t worry about those things. Let Minxing handle everything.”

Luo Xi felt grateful and nodded repeatedly. “I understand, Grandma. You don’t need to trouble yourself tomorrow. Once I’m healed, I’ll come visit you.”

“Alright, then Grandma will be waiting for you.”

“Take care and be safe, Grandma.”

Wang Yaru seemed unusually calm today and didn’t target her at all.

Although she was puzzled, Luo Xi was pleased. She didn’t want to engage with her any more than necessary.

“Xixi, are Muyu and Me’er well at school?” the Second Madam asked after seeing the old lady off. She was possibly concerned that Wang Yaru might turn against Luo Xi, so she came back and asked with a smile.

“They’re doing well.” Luo Xi thought about it. Aside from Leng Me’er acting up occasionally, there hadn’t been any major changes.

“Good to hear.” The Second Madam nodded.

She was actually a bit worried that Me’er would lose control of her temper and end up ruining things instead of improving their relationship.

Wang Yaru’s eyes flashed with coldness.

“Second Madam, are you trying to win over the young madam in advance and hoping to secure good positions for your children in Minxing’s company in the future?” she said with a hypocritical smile.

The Second Madam’s expression remained unchanged as she replied calmly, “You’re overthinking it, Sister Yaru. I’m simply trying to mend the relationship between my daughter and Xixi, especially since Me’er has offended her in the past. Besides, my Muyu and Me’er are still young. They’re not thinking that far ahead. But I’ve heard that Sister Yaru is planning to have Xiao¹Little Yuan learn company management. Is he planning to start his own business?”

“My son Yuan’er doesn’t have such grand ambitions. If he can secure a position in the company, that would be good enough. With Minxing managing such a large company, he can’t handle everything alone. As his younger brother, Yuan’er²Suffix used when calling family, usually sons and daughters. So Leng Yuan to Yuan'(er) should learn to help out. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, Second Madam,” Wang Yaru said with a serious tone.

“I wouldn’t dare to speculate, Sister Yaru. You’ve misunderstood.” The Second Madam’s eyes flashed.

Luo Xi’s gaze sharpened on Wang Yaru, her eyes cold.

In her previous life, she remembered how Leng Yuan had entered Leng Minxing’s company. With the help of Leng Batian, he quickly rose through the ranks and finally he became the general manager of the Leng family business. It was during that time that they began plotting against Leng Minxing and used her as a pawn in their schemes.
