FMLRWS Chapter 497

No one noticed her gaze as everyone discussed what to eat.

Perhaps because they were in a VIP room, the dishes were served quickly. Before long, they were enjoying their meals.

“Sister Luo Xi, I heard you got the female lead role in that drama. Is it true?” Chu Mei asked curiously.

“Got the role? Are you serious? Have you acted before? Don’t let it burn our eyes when the filming is not good.” Hua Feifei asked in surprise.

While they had heard Luo Xi mention it last time, they all assumed it was difficult to take a role, especially a female lead. They hadn’t thought much of it.

To their surprise, Luo Xi actually took it.

“Yes, summer vacation will start in more than a month, and you all have jobs lined up. I want to go out and have some fun too.” Luo Xi replied with a smile.

“Fuck, I’m not trying to discourage you, but can you really act?” Hua Feifei said with disdain, though her eyes sparkled with joy.

“I’m not too sure about that myself…” Luo Xi herself hadn’t acted before. Before, she just wanted to irritate Luo Yuyi. Now with Hua Feifei’s words, she felt a bit anxious.

“That drama is about campus life, right? We’re in school every day, so it should be easy. The only hard part may be memorizing the lines,” Zhou Yao added.

“Don’t worry. Although I’m also a newcomer, this is my second project after all. I have some experience. I’ll help you out when the time comes, Luo Xi.” Chu Mei said enthusiastically.

Everyone nodded in agreement at her words. “Then we’ll have to rely on Xiao Mei to take care of our little one. Don’t let her embarrass herself out there, otherwise I will sacrifice for greater good.” Hua Feifei joked.

The group laughed together.

Soon, all the dishes were served. They chatted merrily while eating. The scene was quite joyful.

This time, even Chu Mei who was on a diet indulged herself.

After all, dining at Yu Shi Zhai wasn’t something one could do every day.

Hua Feifei even clutched her stomach and complained to Luo Xi, “It’s all your fault. I’ll probably gain at least two pounds from this meal!”

Luo Xi rolled her eyes. “If you’re so worried, just spit it out for me.”

Hua Feifei laughed and said, “I can’t spit it out! Unless you want to give me a bag for when I need to use the restroom?”

“Hua Feifei, you disgusting woman!” The others were grossed out by her comment.

Zhou Yao pinched her arm hard.

Hua Feifei stuck out her tongue in response.

Luo Xi called over a waiter.

“Hello, is there anything you need?” The waiter asked politely.

“Check, please.” Luo Xi said.

Chu Mei quickly added, “Junior Sister Luo Xi, I have a 20% discount coupon here. Let me use it for you.” She pulled out a coupon and handed it to the waiter.

The waiter immediately shook his head and said, “For our VIP customers, we directly deduct the fees from the membership card. There’s no need for you ladies to pay.”

The group exchanged glances and then looked at Luo Xi. “You have a membership card?”

Luo Xi was confused. She didn’t have one.

“Don’t worry, the fee will be deducted directly from the booking person’s card after the reservation ends.” The waiter explained.

Everyone sighed in relief after hearing thism

As they headed to the parking lot, Hua Feifei pulled Luo Xi and asked shyly, “Can I drive your car?”

Luo Xi nodded. “Of course.” She knew that Hua Feifei got her license in her freshman year, so she was not worried that she would not know how to drive.
