She might have guessed something, as her expression was quite unpleasant. Luo Xi couldn’t tell whether the girl was guilty or simply afraid.

“Young Madam, your blood jade is missing?” The butler next to her finally realized that it was her item that had been lost and asked, looking grim.

Luo Xi nodded. “From last night until now. I just looked for a long time and couldn’t find it. Has anyone besides her entered my room?”

The butler shook his head. “Only Xiao Xiao went in to clean. She has been responsible for the cleaning in your room. I don’t think it’s likely that this girl would do such a thing.”

Xiao Xiao was brought by Aunt Lin. Even though she didn’t meet the villa’s recruitment standards, her family was poor and she had a sick mother to care for. Since she seemed hardworking and innocent, they allowed her to join the cleaning team.

Unexpectedly, such an incident would arise.

“We were both watching at the time, so it was impossible for us to take that blood jade. Young Madam, could it be someone else?” Xiao Yu couldn’t help but look at the trembling Xiao Xiao standing to the side.

“What evidence do you have to prove it’s not you?” Luo Xi said faintly.

How could she prove it wasn’t her?

She had entered the room herself, and was there anyone else who saw it? How could she prove it?

“Hmph, can’t say a word now? I really don’t understand how someone like you got in to work as a maid in this villa. Are the current standards so low now?” Xiao Xun said with a look of disgust.
