Just as Hua Feifei was about to step forward, Luo Xi blocked her.
“Xixi, we can’t just let this go!” Hua Feifei said angrily.
“I didn’t say we had to let it go.”
Luo Xi nodded, then stepped forward and looked at Xu Xiaoyu. She said, “Xu Xiaoyu, I heard your father, the principal, doesn’t like it when people use their status to bully others. Does he know you casually threaten people like this? It’s like saying only officials can set fires while commoners can’t light lamps.”
“So what!” Xu Xiaoyu replied dismissively.
Anyway, when the time came, she would tell her father that these annoying women bullied her. She was sure that her dad would teach them a lesson!
“Well, it’s not going to be good for you. Everyone here has paid a lot of money to come to this school. Since we’ve paid, it’s not something you can just dismiss. Have you thought about how much you might need to compensate?”
She sneered, “Oh, by the way! If I remember correctly, it was you who started this, right? The principal’s daughter bullying other students because of her status. Tsk tsk, if this gets out, it won’t just embarrass the principal, it could tarnish the reputation of Yunxia University as well. You threaten others but don’t consider if you have the right to do so. Do you think we’re easy to bully?”
“Here you are, making money off the students while insulting your benefactor. You really have no shame, do you? Don’t you know your own place?”
“Nonsense! If you weren’t always competing with me, would I be targeting you?” Xu Xiaoyu was furious at her words, and she accused her.
“Competing with you? Let me ask, what are we competing for?” Luo Xi laughed coldly, “The position of school representative? I remember you saying that I, Luo Xi, am just a flower vase and unworthy of representing the school. You’ve insulted others so casually. Can’t we prove ourselves?”
“Exactly. You scold others for being useless, yet you can’t even compare to them. What right do you have to scold others?” Hua Feifei added disdainfully.
“It’s just that I don’t care to compete with you!” Xu Xiaoyu’s face flushed red. This issue was a sore spot for her. Seeing everyone support Luo Xi made her realize she couldn’t win, so she asked her father to let her host the event. This also gave her an excuse to back down, making it seem like she had a better option and that’s why she didn’t bother competing with Luo Xi.
But now, with Hua Feifei saying it out loud, it felt like rubbing salt in her wounds! How could she stand it?
“Really? Weren’t you the one who insisted on being the school representative before? Now that you’ve lost and feel embarrassed, you can’t admit it?” Hua Feifei rolled her eyes.
“So what? I’m hosting now, which is a hundred times better than just handing out flowers. Unlike some people, who only hand out flowers but dress up extravagantly. I’ve never seen someone so desperate for attention.” Xu Xiaoyu’s gaze fell on Luo Xi, and her tone was mixed with disdain and jealousy.
“Oh, I see someone is getting red-eyed with jealousy. They are ugly and afraid of losing the spotlight?” Hua Feifei mocked with a laugh.
“Heh, who would be jealous of you? That’s ridiculous. I’m done talking to you. You’re wasting my time!” Xu Xiaoyu haughtily snorted and left.
