“Wow, Yiyi, you’re so thoughtful. I’ve been trying to get this lipstick for so long and couldn’t, but I didn’t expect you to give it to me. Thank you so much.”
“That’s right, Yiyi, you’re so generous. You bought so many, it must have cost a lot. Why don’t we give you the money?”
“Yes, yes, we can’t just take your stuff for free.”
Everyone spoke up with happy faces, clearly satisfied but also exchanging pleasantries.
Luo Yuyi shook her head. “No need. It didn’t cost much. I just bought it because I liked it while we were out to play, but I can’t use it myself. If you like it, it’s useful for you. It would be a waste for me to keep it. We’re all classmates, so don’t be polite.”
Upon hearing this, everyone was even more satisfied. “Then we won’t be polite.”
Who wouldn’t want to take a little advantage? It shows that Luo Yuyi’s ability to gather people’s hearts is quite strong.
“Ah, Class Monitor, didn’t you prepare anything for your sister?” Yet someone couldn’t help but pick at her.
Regarding the last incident, the person Luo Yuyi probably felt the most guilty about was her sister.
Now that she had bought so many things, not giving her sister something as an apology first but instead giving them to others. Everyone wasn’t foolish, so naturally someone would speak up.
Luo Yuyi’s smile stiffened slightly, then she brightened and said, “Of course I prepared something. I was just busy giving out gifts to everyone.”
“Really? What kind of gift? Can we see it?”
“A gift for your sister should be the best, right?”
“Yeah, yeah.” Everyone curiously looked at her and asked.
Luo Yuyi smiled mysteriously, walked up to Luo Xi, and handed her a platinum watch. She said, “Sister, this is for you. I’ve always liked this watch, and now I’m giving it to you.”
Everyone looked over and praised, “What a beautiful watch, it must be worth a lot.”
“Just looking at the material makes it clear it’s not simple. The Class Monitor is really generous!”
Luo Yuyi smiled with satisfaction.
Luo Xi glanced at it and then looked away indifferently. “Yiyi, if I remember correctly, this watch was originally mine. When our parents gave us birthday gifts, this was my watch, but you insisted that Dad let you have it because you liked it. Now you’re giving it back to me, don’t you think it’s a bit ridiculous?”
Luo Yuyi was taken aback. She really forgot. After all, anything their father gave to Luo Xi, she would try to take. If she couldn’t have it, she would have to get an identical one. At that time, everyone in the family spoiled her, so they naturally agreed to everything. She hadn’t prepared a gift for Luo Xi at all. If those people hadn’t suddenly spoken up, she wouldn’t have given away this watch she liked. She had completely forgotten its origin.
Upon hearing this, everyone exchanged glances.
“No, that’s not what I meant. I just wanted to give it to you sincerely. I know I was wrong before, and I realize it now. Sister, can you forgive me?” Luo Yuyi said as her eyes reddened, seemingly very guilty.
“Since you’ve said that, I won’t hold it against you. I’ll accept this watch. As a return gift, here’s this bottle of water for you. Don’t be polite.” Luo Xi handed her the bottle of green tea on the table.
Luo Yuyi was delighted to hear this and quickly took it, only to find that it was a bottle of green tea, making her face turn a shade green.
The people around couldn’t help but laugh softly.
