FSC [QT] Chapter 8.1

“What do you think of me wearing this silk flower?”

The Diao family also came to the county to buy New Year’s goods today. Sister Diao is still a woman, so she is also interested in rouge, gouache, and jewelry. However, she knew that her color’s skin could not support those things. Sometimes she really liked to buy them to take home. The final outcome was just to gather dust and never see the light of day.

But this did not prevent her from having a pretty heart. At this moment, Sister Diao was standing next to a stall, selected a big red silk flower, made some gestures on her head, and asked her man Huo An in a pinched voice.

This silk flower was really not a good match for Sister Diao. She had dark skin, and matching it with bright red would only make her color’s skin darker. Moreover, Sister Diao’s appearance was more heroic. The exaggerated red silk flower on her head was a bit more funny, without any feminine charm.

“Chi—”

The few young women standing nearby could not help but snicker, muttering to themselves that the ugly people often did mischief. It was a pity that the man standing next to her had to face such a face day and night but had to endure her pretentiousness.

“Everything looks good on my wife.”

But Huo An’s behavior was completely different from others. His eyes were gentle and watery, and the words in his mouth seemed to come from sincerity.

Could it be that he is a blind man?

Hearing Huo An’s answer, the people standing beside him were a little speechless.

“But the red flower is too vulgar and does not match the Madam’s temperament. It is better to have this hairpin with sapphire, which makes the Madam look capable and simple, and has a kind of beauty that ordinary women do not have.”

Huo An and Sister Diao have two different tempers. Sister Diao has a hot temper, and in front of him, she will deliberately pretend to be weak and charming. Although her pretense is often just an imitation of others and does not have the essential point at all. Most of the time, Sister Diao is fickle and has a very irritable temper.

But Huo An is a very gentle person. Except for being silent for a while when he was first sold to the Diao family, after getting along with Sister Diao for a long time, he began to learn to accept Sister Diao as his wife and adapt to her temper.

In this marriage, Sister Diao had an inferiority complex. Even though Huo An was the son-in-law bought by the Diao family, because of the difference in appearance, Sister Diao always felt that she was the one who was not worthy of Huo An.

But Huo An would never let her feel like this. This man was so considerate. Even in this scene, even Sister Diao knew how funny and ugly she looked when she tried on the red silk flower, Huo An would make her feel that the red flower was not worthy of her, not that she did not deserve to wear the red flower.

“Then, I want this green jade hairpin.”

Sister Diao blushed, took the hairpin that Huo An chose for her, shyly imitated those charming little ladies, and cast a glance at Huo An. Such a burly body and heroic appearance were really not suitable for such coquettish actions.

The people around him almost vomited, but Huo An happily accepted the little fun given by his wife.
