Qiong Hua and the others thought of who that half-demon was, and their expressions became even more sorrowful.
Even a half-demon who had only been with her for a few days could do this for Ah Wu.
They had loved Ah Wu for nearly a hundred years, so why couldn’t they do the same?
In the final analysis, they had a lot of love, but Lang Yan had very little love. In his long life, there were only a very few happy days, and most of those days were related to Ah Wu.
He was not afraid of death because living was boring to him, so he was willing to sacrifice for a certain delusion.
Everyone didn’t have time to discuss the wolf demon just now, because the original God-Slaying Formation suddenly blew up with a strong wind, and the sky and the earth changed color.
In an instant, the earth shook.
Many of the cultivators who were watching were involved in the sudden appearance of the space gap.
Boom—
Boom—
Thunderbolts struck one after another.
Xuan Zhen sat quietly in the God-Slaying Formation, but none of those aimless thunderbolts struck him.
Is it Ah Wu?
Her spirit was broken, and her bones and blood formed a new way to heaven. Even though all her emotions had been split off, she still couldn’t bear to hurt him, her master.
Two tears slid across Xuan Zhen’s eyes. He was afraid that he could not overcome this inner demon.
The thunderbolts were becoming more and more frequent.
When she was dodging, one of them suddenly struck Zhuo Yu. She let out a shrill scream, and the jade piece hanging around her neck was instantly destroyed.
Zhuo Yu didn’t even have time to wail for her golden finger, as she was forced to hide in the Langya Immortal Cave due to the increasing number of thunderbolts.
Although she could not open or close the Langya Immortal Cave, as the owner of the Langya Immortal Cave, she could still enter the Langya Immortal Cave alone.
Long Feiran was very close to her, so he naturally felt the breath of the Langya Immortal Cave.
He was stunned.
Thinking of the scenes that had happened since Zhuo Yu arrived, he was immediately in agony.

“…Since the God-Slaying Sacrifice, the passage to ascension has finally been opened again. This was also the reason why so many human cultivators, demon cultivators, and monster cultivators were annihilated more than a thousand years ago. They created a new Heavenly Dao, but they also paid the price for their actions that defied heaven.”
In a teahouse in Langhua Realm, a young cultivator in the Foundation Building Stage stood on a high platform and told a story.
In the thunder of tribulation after the God-Slaying Sacrifice, countless high-level masters in the Mahayana stage and Void Reversal stage were annihilated, and countless cultivators in other stages were also killed or injured.
Since then, the vitality of the Three Realms has been severely damaged and can never recover its former glory.
Now, it is difficult to see a cultivator above the Nascent Soul Stage in the Three Realms. In order to distinguish the stages, the Foundation Building Stage is even divided before the Foundation Building Stage.
It can be seen that the Three Realms are really in decline.
Fortunately, as they wished, the passage to ascension was rebuilt, although the number of people who ascended in the past thousands of years was very small.
“What about Venerable Xuan Zhen?”
The question was asked by a young cultivator who had just come from the mortal world not long ago, so the question he asked was very ridiculous, because the story of the God-Slaying a thousand years ago and the endings of several protagonists were already well known to people in the Three Realms.
“Venerable Xuan Zhen developed an inner demon, which affected his state of mind. He passed away a hundred years ago. Venerable Qiong Hua is the current head of the Wushang Sect. However, he also couldn’t see through his inner demon, so he no longer had any desire to ascend to heaven. He only wanted to take care of the Wushang Sect wholeheartedly. As for Venerable Xuan Zhen’s other disciple, he disappeared after the God-Slaying Sacrifice. It was said that someone saw him chasing someone.”
Someone explained it to the young cultivator.
“Let’s go.”
A handsome man helped a girl wearing a veil hat out of the tavern.
These two people were none other than Lang Yan and A Wu, who were supposed to have died in the God-Slaying Formation.
The God-Slaying Formation deprived Ah Wu of her soul. Lang Yan gave her a glimmer of hope and took her body into reincarnation, recondensing her three souls and six spirits to allow her to perceive the seven emotions and six desires.
The other party’s divine body had been taken away, so she had lost the ability to practice cultivation. Lang Yan signed a symbiotic contract with her in the identity of a demon wolf, and from then on, his lifespan would be shared with her.
Not long ago, Ah Wu’s soul finally returned to its place, and the memories of reincarnations were also stored in the depths of her consciousness. The initial love and hatred had long been forgotten.
Perhaps just like the worlds she experienced, in the world where she was born, Zhuo Yu was the heroine, while she was just a female supporting role, so no matter how much people loved her, they would follow the trajectory defined by fate and walk to the side of the heroine.
But when the female supporting character leaves the stage, it becomes another story. No one knows what happens after the novel ends.
In the streets, a drunk with stubble on his face was lying on the ground. When Ah Wu walked by, she brought a gust of elegant fragrance, which made the drunk sober for a short time.
That shadow looked like his junior sister?
The next second, Long Feiran smiled bitterly and took a few gulps from the wine bottle beside him.
He had killed Zhuo Yu, but his junior sister would never come back.

Translator’s Comment:
Woo, woo… (╥﹏╥)
It’s finally over.
I’ve been delaying translating the last few chapters for a long time because I can’t bear to see the ending.
I can’t say something harsh to Xuan Zhen and his two disciples. They’ve tried their best.
And it’s indeed right. There are more important people around them, so they can sacrifice someone less important for them, Ah Wu.
Besides, they love themselves the most, so they can’t/don’t think to help Ah Wu overcome the thunder tribulation.
Well, selfishness is human nature, after all.
Although I am very happy to see that they don’t have a happy ending, I can’t judge their actions.
Those selfish cultivators also get their punishment! ʅ(°益°)ʃ
Fortunately, Ah Wu has a happy ending with Lang Yan and doesn’t dwell with those past events.
What do you think about this ending, everyone?
Please leave your opinion in the comment box below.
I want to thank Author-sama for the great work!

To be honest, it’s hard to say.
Because, Zhuo Yu had that jade necklace, and we don’t know how much that influenced them. It’s very likely that she was the one who induced thoughts like “I’m Ah Wu but better” and “Isn’t Ah Wu too spoiled?” into them, and that those thoughts weren’t theirs originally.
But even so, I wish they had at least known her suffering. They should have understood that conceptually, being essentially unable to cultivate in a world of cultivation, especially as the disciple of a prodigy surrounded by other prodigies, would not only be physically exhausting but mentally too. Not because of the strain of cultivation (though that was difficult, no doubt), but because of what people say.
The fact that none of them “knew” Ah Wu was being mocked until far later on read to me as ignorance AND arrogance. If they knew anyone outside of their circle, they would have a better grasp of what people really thought of Ah Wu.
I’m a person who loves very deeply, so if someone threatened a loved one, even if the world threatened them, I would only dig my heels in.
Still, I acknowledge that they did try to keep her protected.
I wish we had seen Zhuo Yu’s death. The ending is a bit abrupt in general, as if the author wanted to wrap things up quickly.
But, you know…
In the end, it seems none of them looked for Ah Wu. At least, Long Feiran was consumed only by thoughts of revenge, and then drunkenness. If he cared about her, wouldn’t he at least pay attention to rumors? And Xuan Zhen died of grief, while Qiong Hua only led his sect. But it’s hard to say, since we don’t get context, and we don’t know what happened in the time Ah Wu was QTing, or Lang Yan’s ability to hide his identity. It’s implied that every person at the scene (a high-level cultivator) was killed except Xuan Zhen, which is why this rumor that Ah Wu is dead came about.
I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t tell the truth? Perhaps no one believed them, or perhaps it’s a plothole?
Ramblings aside.
This was, and is, one of my favorite stories of all time. I have reread it over and over, because I love the story of Ah Wu, who is like a doddering toddler in terms of emotions, learning how to get by.
I’m certainly sad to see it end, but I am happy that it’s a happy ending, and that they gave a reason for the transmigrations and Ah Wu’s lack of emotions originally. Lang Yan’s loyalty to her is sweet, considering how little time they spent together.
Finally, I want to say thank you for translating this. I know that for you, you might feel somewhat at a loss, because I certainly do and I’m only reading it, not translating. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say you have probably spent dozens of hours on this novel, and I want to say that from the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for your translation of it.
Have a good day and week 🙂

First of all thank you for the translation !!!
This is such a great book for real. I am only disappointed by the ending…. It’s look like it was rushed but overall everything was great.
